Daisy Pattern
The number of stitches must be a multiple of 4 + 1 stitch + 2 edge stitches
Row 1: all stitches knit.
Row 2: 1 knit, * knit 3 stitches together purlwise (do not slip the knitted stitches off the needle); yarn over; knit again the three unworked stitches purlwise (= 1 daisy); 1 knit *. Repeat from * to *.
Row 3: all stitches knit.
Row 4: 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, * knit 3 stitches together purlwise (do not slip the knitted stitches off the needle); yarn over; knit again the three unworked stitches purlwise (= 1 daisy); 1 knit.*, repeat from * to *, 1 purl, 1 knit.
Repeat the pattern from rows 1 to 4.



For knitting the cap, you will need needles from size 8 and above
We need straight and circular needles.
If there are no circular needles, you can knit a flat piece and then sew the cap by hand.
I will knit with size 8 needles because I have them available.

Let's calculate the stitches.

I got 6.5 stitches in 5 cm.
6.5/5=1.3 stitches in 1 cm

We need to cast on stitches for the transverse ribbing and knit straight for 15 rows. Note that specifically for this cap, the ties are not knitted separately, but the ribbing itself serves as these "ties" to which the pom-poms are attached.
For the transverse ribbing, I need to cast on stitches to make it 68 cm. I measured it against my daughter and chose this length myself.

1.3*68 cm = 88.4 stitches
Rounding, I need to cast on 89 stitches.
Next, I knitted according to this scheme. Row 15 is the first row of the "Daisy" pattern



Here is what my transverse ribbing looks like

Then continue knitting with the "Daisy" pattern. In this case, only the middle stitches are used, i.e., close 10 cm of ribbing stitches on each side, and knit the remaining stitches with the "Daisy" pattern.
I closed 13 stitches on each side.
Then 89p - 13p - 13p (for two ears) = 63 stitches for the "Daisy" pattern

So we have 63 stitches -1 stitch - 2 edge stitches= 60/4= 15, just the right number of stitches. 

Here is what I have.

I think this pattern should have been knitted with thicker needles. I had to redo it a couple of times because the pattern turned out too tight. I tried to knit as loosely as possible. Still, it turned out tight near the ribbing 



View from the back. I knitted on circular needles (I don't like sewing knitted things) For the pattern, I had to decrease the stitches at the back.



I knitted the crown with regular stockinette. You can decrease in any way you like.
I made the decreases like this.
In the even row, where I needed to knit three stitches together, I simply knitted three stitches together. In the end, I got 30 stitches after the decreases.
The next row I knitted knitwise without decreases (I made the decreases every other row)
Then I made three decreases, knitting each 9th and 10th stitch together.
The next row knitwise without decreases.
We also make three decreases, knitting each 8th and 9th stitch together. And so on.
