Pattern instructions
Knit in the round from the bottom edge toward the crown.
Cast on 84-96 stitches on circular needles No. 3,5. Knit 10 rounds in ribbing 3/3 (alternate 3 knit, 3 purl), starting with 3 knit. Knit the next rounds in the following manner: 3 knit, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 2 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, repeat * to the end = 112-128 stitches. Continue working on circular needles No. 5. Continue as follows: 3 knit, pattern according to chart (knit the yarn-overs from the previous row over the back loops to avoid holes), 3 knit, repeat * to the end (7-8 repeats). Switch to double-pointed needles when the number of stitches is not enough for circular needles. After completing the vertical repeat on the needles – 42-48 stitches. In the next round, knit all 3 rib stitches together to form 1 knit stitch = 28-32 stitches. In the next round, knit all 2 purl stitches together = 14-16 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches twice, tighten them together and fasten with a couple of stitches on the wrong side. Height of the hat: 24 cm.
