Needles No. 4 - hat, after the cuff double the number of stitches = 160 (multiple of 10).
Braided pattern 5x5

Make braids in the 7th row.
Before decreases, 5 braids.
Before the 6th braid, I make decreases of 2 stitches in each repeat, resulting in a braid 4x4, leaving 128 stitches. Before the 7th braid, a similar decrease, resulting in a braid 3x3, leaving 96 stitches, then I decrease again, resulting in a braid 2x2, = 64 stitches.
Then I knit 2 stitches together for two rows and put the remaining stitches on a thread.
