Row 2: *knit yarn over, slip 1 st as purl without knitting, yarn in front*, repeat from * to *;

Row 3 and subsequent rows: *1 knit, slip 1 st as purl, yarn in front*, repeat from * to *;

in the finished piece, unravel the contrasting yarn.

Rib 1x1: alternate 1 knit, 1 purl.

Stockinette stitch: right side - knit stitches, wrong side - purl stitches.

Diamond patterns A and B (width 18 sts): knit according to the corresponding chart.

Twisting pattern (width 22 sts): knit according to the chart.

Pleats (any number of stitches):

from row 1 to row 14: stockinette stitch;

Row 15: from the wrong side cast on the stitches of row 3 onto an auxiliary needle, place the auxiliary needle behind the left needle and knit 2 sts together knitwise: 1 st from the left needle and 1 st from the auxiliary needle;

from row 16 to row 32: stockinette stitch;

Row 33: repeat the pattern from row 15 (each pleat contains 12 rows, the distance between pleats is 6 rows).

Cable (width 2 sts):

Row 1: cross 2 sts to the right (knit the 2nd st, placing the right needle in front of the first stitch, and without slipping the knitted stitch, knit the 1st st, slip both stitches);

Row 2: 2 purls;

Row 3: repeat the pattern from row 1.

Knitting density:

alternating patterns, needles No. 6: 15.5 sts and 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

diamond patterns A and B and the twisting pattern: width of each pattern = 12 cm.

Back: cast on 85 sts on needles No. 5.5 and knit 4 rows of double rib, then knit in rib 1/1. After 9 cm from the cast-on edge, switch to needles No. 6 and knit as follows, evenly decreasing 3 sts in the 1st row: 5 sts in purl stitch, 2 sts in cable, 18 sts in diamond pattern A, 2 sts in cable, 3 sts in purl stitch, 22 sts in twisting pattern (= center of the work), 3 sts in purl stitch, 2 sts in cable, 18 sts in diamond pattern B, 2 sts in cable, 5 sts in purl stitch. Decrease on both sides after the first and before the last stitches in every 20th row 3 x 1 st. After 57 cm from the rib for armhole decreases, close 2 sts on both sides once; after 21 cm from the start of armhole decreases, close the outer 18 sts on both sides and set aside the middle 36 sts.

Front: knit as the back, but after 74 cm from the rib for the neckline, set aside the middle 20 sts and finish both parts separately, setting aside 2 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts on both sides from the center in every 2nd row. After 4 cm from the start of the neckline, close the remaining 18 sts for each shoulder.

Sleeves: cast on 41 sts on needles No. 5.5 and knit 4 rows of double rib, then switch to needles No. 6 and knit in rib 1/1, increasing 7 x 1 st on both sides in every 12th row. After 52 cm from the cast-on edge for the sleeve cap, close 2 sts on both sides once and then decrease after the first 2 and before the last 2 stitches in every 2nd row 8 x 1 st, knitting the outer stitches on both sides in purl stitch. After 9.5 cm from the start of the sleeve cap, close the remaining 35 sts.

Shoulder decorations: cast on 18 sts on needles No. 5.5 and knit pleats, after 28 cm (= 8 pleats and 2 more rows of stockinette stitch) close all stitches.

Assembling the dress pieces: sew one shoulder seam. For the collar, cast on 103 sts (including the set-aside stitches) on needles No. 5.5 along the neckline and knit in rib 1/1; after 8 cm, evenly increase by 10 sts between the neckline stitches on the back (knit 5 times 3 sts from one stitch to form a new group of 1 knit and 1 purl). After 26 cm from the start of the collar, knit 6 rows of double rib and close all stitches with a knitted stitch. Perform the second shoulder seam, joining the collar seam considering the fold. On needles No. 5.5, cast on 85 sts along the last row of the lower rib 1/1 of the back, knit 4 cm in stockinette stitch and close all stitches. Do the same for the lower edge of the front. Sew the side seams, leaving the edges of the recently knitted strips unsewn; sew the edges of the strips together to form a relief strip. Sew the sleeve seams and set in the sleeves. Sew the decorations onto the shoulders, aligning the centers of the decorations with the shoulder seams.
