yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 200m/100g) - 700-800g; circular needles N5; N4.5; N3.
Brief description:
The dress is knitted from the bottom up. Knit in the round with N5 needles until the armhole cuts. After that - knit the front and back alternately in flat rows, simultaneously shaping the neckline (with N4.5 needles). Sew the shoulder seams. Insert N4.5 needles into the armhole stitches. Knit the sleeve in flat rows, increasing on both sides every 4th row. Continue increasing until there are 82 stitches on the needles. After reaching the required sleeve length, make 54 decreases, then knit the sleeve ribbing in the round. Sew the sleeve. Knit the second sleeve. Insert the needles into the neckline stitches, knit the neckline ribbing with N4.5 needles, finish with N3 needles.
Pearl pattern:
1st row: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
2nd row: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch (that is, as per the pattern)
3rd row: 1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch (swap the stitches)
4th row: 1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch (knit as per the pattern)
5th row: repeat the pattern from the first row
Main fabric:
Cast on 172 stitches on N5 needles. Knit 13 rows in the round with 1x1 ribbing.
Rows 1-160: knit 28 stitches in pearl pattern (alternating 1 knit and 1 purl. See pattern "pearl"). Knit 30 stitches in cable pattern (see pattern "cable"). Knit 104 stitches in pearl pattern (to the end of the row.)
After knitting 160 rows, we have 65 cm of the main fabric. After that, change to 4.5 needles and knit the front and back of the garment alternately in flat rows.
Front:
10 cm: 28 stitches in pearl pattern, 30 stitches in cable pattern, 28 stitches in pearl pattern.
Close the central 26 stitches. For the next 20 rows, we will shape the neckline, making one decrease every 2 rows. 23 stitches should remain on the needles.
Back:
Knit 12 cm in pearl pattern in flat rows. After that, close the 30 central stitches. Make decreases every other row until 23 stitches remain on the needles.
Close the stitches of the front and back and finish the shoulder seams.
Sleeves:
Insert N4.5 needles into the armhole stitches. A total of 54 stitches should be obtained. Starting from the lowest point of the armhole, knit the sleeve in flat rows: 19 stitches in pearl pattern, 16 stitches in cable pattern (see pattern "cable"), 19 stitches in pearl pattern. Every fourth row, make an increase at both edges of the garment. Knit this way until there are 82 stitches on the needles. After that, knit the sleeve without increases to the required length.
Sleeve ribbing: make 54 decreases by knitting 3 stitches together to 1 stitch. Knit 1x1 ribbing in the round. Close the stitches.
Sew the sleeve with a needle. Knit the second sleeve.
Neckline:
Insert N4.5 needles into the neckline stitches. Knit 5 rows of 1x1 ribbing. Change to N3 needles, knit another 4 rows of ribbing, and close the stitches in an elastic manner.
