YOU WILL NEED

Yarn 1 (70% sheep wool, 30% alpaca wool; 140 m/50 g) — 700 (750-800) g of white;
yarn 2 (100% wool; 160 m/50 g) — 50 g each of dark green, light pink, fuchsia, cyclamen color, and light green; circular needles No. 4.5, 80 and 100 cm long; double-pointed needles No. 4.5.

PATTERNS AND SCHEMES

RIBBING

Alternating 3 knit, 3 purl.

STOCKINETTE STITCH

Knit rows are knit stitches, purl rows are purl stitches.

«BRAID»

Knit according to scheme A. Repeat rows 1 to 4 in height.

LACE PATTERN 1

Knit in the round according to scheme B. Distribute stitches in width according to the instructions. In height, perform rows 1 to 3 once, then repeat rows 2 and 3.

LACE PATTERN 2

Knit rows in the straight and reverse directions according to scheme C. In the purl row, start with 2 stitches before the left arrow, repeat the rapport between the arrows = 5 stitches, finish with the edge stitch. In height, perform rows 1 to 3 once, then repeat rows 2 and 3.

DECREASES IN LACE PATTERN (WHEN KNITTING IN THE ROUND)

Decreases are made in several round rows. Knit symmetrically on both sides of the center:

1st row with decreases: in the 3rd row of scheme B, knit only 1 knit stitch from the yarn over = 1 stitch decreased.

2nd row with decreases: in the next 2nd row of the scheme, do not make a yarn over = 2 stitches decreased.

3rd row with decreases: in the 3rd row of the scheme, knit the last knit stitch and the next purl stitch together = 1 stitch decreased.

4th row with decreases: in the next 1st row of the scheme, knit the purl stitch of the rapport and the purl stitch before it, and correspondingly after it, together = 1 stitch decreased.

After the 4th row with decreases, the lace pattern on the front and back decreased by 2 rapports = a total of 20 stitches.

2 STITCHES KNIT TOGETHER WITH A LEFT SLANT

Slip 1 stitch as for a knit stitch, knit the next stitch and pull the slipped stitch over the knitted one.

MOTIF «ROSES»

Embroider according to the stitches in schemes D and E.

ATTENTION!

The item is knitted in the round from the bottom edge to the armholes as a single piece. The front and back of the bodice are knitted separately from the beginning of the armholes.

EXECUTION OF WORK

FRONT AND BACK

On long circular needles No. 4.5, cast on 288 (308) 324 stitches with white yarn and knit in the round for 2.5 cm = 6 rows of ribbing. Mark the side seam lines — at the beginning of the row and halfway through the stitches from it = 144 (154) 162 stitches for the front and back.

After the ribbing, distribute the pattern stitches as follows: *35 (40) 44 stitches of stockinette stitch, 3 stitches of the «braid», 2 stitches of stockinette stitch, 64 stitches of lace pattern (knitting in the round: repeat the rapport = 5 stitches 12 times, finishing with 4 stitches after the left arrow), 2 stitches of purl stitch, 3 stitches of the «braid», 35 (40) 44 stitches of stockinette stitch, repeat from * 2 times.

After 37.5 cm = 103 rows from the ribbing, start decreasing stitches in the 4th and last 4th rapports of the lace pattern = 268 (288) 304 stitches. Repeat these decreases with an interval of 10 rows between the 4th row with decreases and the next 1st row with decreases in the following rhythm: in the 4th and last 4th rapport = 248 (268) 284 stitches, 2 times in the 3rd and last 3rd rapports = 208 (228) 244 stitches, in the 2nd and last 2nd rapports = 188 (208) 224 stitches, in the 1st and last rapports = 168 (188) 204 stitches (only 4 stitches of the lace pattern remain).

Knit the next 23.5 (21.5) 19.5 cm = 62 (57) 52 rounds without decreases.

Then for the side decreases, knit together the 2nd and 3rd stitches from both sides with a left slant and knit together the last 3rd and 2nd stitches before the side markers = 164 (184) 200 stitches. Perform these decreases 1 more time in the next 4th row and 2 times in each following 3rd row = 152 (172) 188 stitches.

For the armholes, after 3 following rows, divide the stitches according to the side markers = 76 (86) 94 stitches for the front and back of the bodice and finish the front first.

For the armholes, close 3 stitches once on both sides and in every 2nd row close 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch 4 times = 54 (64) 72 stitches.

After 13 (15) 17 cm = 34 (40) 46 rows from the beginning of the armholes, close the middle 6 stitches for the neckline and finish the left side first.

To round the neckline, close 3 stitches once from the inner edge in every 2nd row, 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch 4 times.

For the shoulder slope, close 5 (6) 8 stitches once from the outer edge after 4 cm = 10 rows from the beginning of forming the neckline and in every 2nd row close 4 (6) 7 stitches twice.

Finish the second side symmetrically.

Knit the back of the bodice the same way, but for the neckline, close the middle 20 stitches at a height of 16 (18) 20 cm = 42 (48) 54 rows from the beginning of the armholes and finish the left side first.

To round the neckline, close 2 stitches twice from the inner edge in every 2nd row.

UPPER PART OF THE SLEEVE

On needles No. 4.5, cast on 68 stitches with white yarn and knit for 2.5 cm = 6 rows of ribbing.

Continue the work with the lace pattern in rows in the straight and reverse directions, starting in the 1st purl row after the edge stitch with the stitch before the left arrow, perform the rapport = 5 stitches between the arrows once, finish with the edge stitch.

For the slopes, increase 2 stitches from both sides in every 8th row twice and in every 6th row 13 times (in every 6th row 5 times and in every 4th row 14 times) in every 4th row 17 times and in every 2nd row 9 times by 1 stitch = 98 (106) 120 stitches. Include the increased stitches in the pattern.

After 36 (34) 32 cm = 100 (94) 88 rows from the ribbing, close 5 stitches once from both sides for the cap, then in every 2nd row close 5 stitches once and 10 stitches twice = 38 (46) 60 stitches.

After 2.5 cm = 8 rows from the beginning of shaping, close the remaining stitches.

Knit the second identical piece.

LOWER PART OF THE SLEEVE

Knit from the top down.

On needles No. 4.5, cast on 50 stitches with white yarn and knit for 2 cm = 4 rows of ribbing. Then knit in stockinette stitch.

After 15.5 cm = 41 rows from the lower ribbing, continue the work with ribbing and after 2 cm = 4 rows, close the stitches loosely.

Knit the second identical piece.

BORDER

On needles No. 4.5, cast on 51 stitches with white yarn and knit for 5 cm = 9 rows of ribbing, then close the stitches.

Knit the second identical piece.

ASSEMBLY

Sew the shoulder seams.

Along the neckline, cast on 90 stitches on double-pointed needles with white yarn and knit the border in the round. When the width of the border is 3.5 cm = 9 rows, close the stitches loosely.

Starting 6.5 cm from the cast-on row and 3 cm from the side seam lines, perform embroidery on the front according to scheme D. On the back, perform embroidery similarly, but according to scheme E.

On the lower part of the left sleeve, embroider motif D, and on the lower part of the right sleeve — motif E, position the motifs in the center of the pieces.

Sew the lower parts of the sleeves to the upper parts under the ribbing. Sew a ruffle along the upper edge of the cap of each sleeve (sew the short sides at the ends of the ruffle also to the sleeves). After that, set the sleeves into the open armholes.

Sew the sleeve seams and side seams.
