Pattern description:

Rows 1-2: all stitches knit

Row 3: *1 knit, two yarn overs*

Row 4: drop yarn overs and from each of the five resulting long stitches knit 5 stitches (1 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, yarn over, 1 knit)

Repeat rows 1 — 4.

This is the simplest description. You can change:

• 
  the number of yarn overs – then the stitches will be longer
• 
  the number of stitches knitted at the same time (for example, three instead of five), which will change the density of the product
• 
  the number of knit rows (or even replace the knit rows with any pattern).

You can experiment with the thickness of the yarn and needles.
