So, the calculations from the land of Mam by Tatoha: I knitted a sample and it turned out that in 10 cm there are 3 braids in width and 3 braids in length.
Since my friend wanted a cardigan not too fitted, we decided that it should be knitted to the hip circumference = 110 cm.
I started knitting from the front piece, and according to my calculations, it turned out that I needed to cast on 68 stitches = 8 braids.
First, I knitted 8 rows of 2x2 ribbing and then switched to the main pattern. For beginners, I will write in detail how I knitted Row 1:
Row 1: 1k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 1k - k is edge stitch, k is knit stitch, p is purl stitch
Next, I knit according to the pattern making crossovers in the following rows:
7, 15, 23, 31, 39, 47, 55, 63, 71, 79, 87, 95, 103, 111, 119, 127, 135, 143, 151
On row 151, I closed for the armhole 1x5 stitches, 1x3 stitches, continued to knit making crossovers in rows 159, 167, 175, 183.
On row 176, I closed for the neckline 1x10 stitches
on row 178 1x10 stitches
on row 180 1x7 stitches
On row 187, I closed the remaining shoulder stitches.
