After casting on, knit all stitches purl. First row: * one knit stitch, one “star”*, repeat from * to *. finish the row with one knit stitch. Second row: all stitches purl. Third row: * three knit stitches, one “star”*, repeat from * to *, finish the row with 3 knit stitches. Fourth row: all stitches purl. Repeat from the first to the fourth row. “Star” – knit 3 stitches together through the back loop. Do not slip these 3 stitches from the left needle, make 1 yarn over and knit these same three stitches together through the back loop again.
