- wool blend yarn Yarnart Merino exclusive and Alize LANA GOLD;
- a set of circular knitting needles No. 2.5 and No. 3 (depending on the knitting density);
- a sewing needle;
- scissors;
- stuffing.
Description
We cast on 48 sts, leaving a long free end of the yarn. We join in a round, distributing the stitches on 4 needles with 12 sts each.
Next, we knit, repeating the fragments ** until the end of the row:
- from row 1 to row 35 (= 9 cm): *4 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches*;
- row 36 and row 37: *knit 1 stitch from every 2 stitches*.
We have 3 stitches left on each needle (= 12 stitches).
Cut the yarn, leaving a long end. Thread it through the remaining stitches, pull tight.
Thread the yarn from the cast-on row into the needle and sequentially insert the needle into each stitch. Gradually tighten the edges, while filling the toy with stuffing. The stuffing should not be too tight. The pumpkin should be of even shape and sufficiently elastic.
Indentations
Insert the needle in the center of one bottom, exit in the center of the other. Thread the yarn through the purl stitches, repeating the puncture. Pull the yarn tight, forming the pumpkin segments. This way, we shape the entire side surface.
Stem
Cast on 6 stitches. Distribute 2 stitches on each needle, joining in a round.
Next, we knit, repeating the fragments ** until the end of the row:
- row 1: purl stitches;
- from row 2 to row 13: knit stitches;
- row 14: make increases;
- row 15: knit stitches;
- row 16: *1 knit stitch, 1 increase*;
- row 17: knit stitches.
Close the stitches, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Use the needle to pull together the 6 stitches from the first row, hiding the yarn end inside. Sew the stem and tendrils to the pumpkin.
