HOW TO KNIT
Cast on 5 stitches on 5 mm needles. Knit 1 row knit.
2nd row (right side): 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knit (total 7 stitches)
3rd and all odd rows: knit.
4th row: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 3 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knit (total 9 stitches)
6th row: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 5 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knit (total 11 stitches)
8th row: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 7 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knit (total 13 stitches)
10th row: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 9 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knit (total 15 stitches)
Continue knitting, increasing 2 stitches in even rows (make yarn overs), until there are 23 stitches on the needle.
Then knit 40 rows in the main pattern.
Then knit as follows:
* 1st row (right side): 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, slip the next stitch, do not knit (place the yarn in front), turn the work.
2nd row: knit.
3rd row: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, 10 knit, slip the next stitch, do not knit (place the yarn in front), turn the work.
4th row: knit.
5th row: knit all stitches (2 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, knit until the last 4 stitches, 1 simple stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knit)
6th row: knit. *
Repeat from * to * 2 more times.
Then knit straight for 70 (78) rows in the main pattern.
Then knit from * to * 3 times.
Then knit 40 rows in the main pattern.
In the next knit row (even row) start decreasing: 2 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 double stitch, knit until the last 5 stitches, 1 double stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knit.
Continue decreasing in knit rows until there are 5 stitches left on the needle.
Bind off the remaining stitches.
Starting from the central stitch of the cast-on edge, pick up 220 (228) stitches around the edge of the knitted piece on circular needles (the number of stitches must be a multiple of 4) and knit ruffles:
1st row: * 3 purl, 1 knit *, repeat from * to *.
2nd and all even rows: knit the stitches according to the pattern (knit over knit, purl over purl).
3rd row: * right increase with twisting, 1 knit, left increase with twisting, 3 purl *, repeat from * to *.
5th row: * right increase with twisting, 3 knit, left increase with twisting, 3 purl *, repeat from * to *.
7th row: * right increase with twisting, 5 knit, left increase with twisting, 3 purl *, repeat from * to *.
9th row: * right increase with twisting, 7 knit, left increase with twisting, 3 purl *, repeat from * to *.
Bind off all stitches.
To fasten the scarf you can use a button or a brooch.
But the pattern seems understandable. The only nuance that I didn't know how to reflect in the pattern: the first 4 yarn overs in the rows are ordinary, yarn over and yarn over... but from the 5th and to the end of the height repeat I did a twisted yarn over, so it wouldn’t create a hole, just an additional stitch.
Please note that all even rows - wrong side rows - are knitted with purl stitches. The individual stitches are drawn - knit them according to the pattern. The empty squares are purl stitches..
