When you knit the entire length of the scarf, pick up ribbing around the edge 2knit, 2purl (make sure the ribbing connects), on the slopes make 1 yarn over, and knit 7 to 10 rows as desired.

Bind off all stitches. Knit a flower.

Scarf knitting pattern.

The scarf, like the previous ones, is knitted on needles.

Sizes: back width 34 cm (37 cm).

You will need:

— 1 (2) skeins of Aslan Harmonia yarn (100% acrylic, 180 m/100 g), color 0005

(one of the possible alternatives is Candy yarn (Vita).

— straight needles 5 mm.

— circular needles 6 mm, 1.2 m long or longer.

— 2 stitch markers (hooks).

— 1 vintage button or brooch.

Knitting density: not specified.

Main pattern:

1st and all odd rows (wrong side of work): knit stitches.

2nd and all even rows (right side of work): 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, knit until the last 4 stitches, 1 simple drop stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knits.

Simple drop stitch: slip 1 stitch as knit, knit the next stitch, and place the slipped stitch over the knitted one (= 1 stitch decreased).

Double drop stitch: can be done in 2 ways:

a) slip 1 stitch as knit, knit the next 2 stitches together knit and place the slipped stitch over the knitted one (= 2 stitches decreased).

b) slip 2 stitches as knits, knit the next stitch and place the slipped stitches over the knitted one (= 2 stitches decreased).

Increases with twisting:

HOW TO KNIT.

Cast on 5 stitches on 5 mm needles. Knit 1 row in knits.

2nd row (right side of work): 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 knits (total 7 stitches).

3rd and all odd rows: knit stitches.

4th row: 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 3 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 knits (total 9 stitches).

6th row: 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 5 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 knits (total 11 stitches).

10th row: 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 9 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 knits (total 15 stitches).

Continue knitting, increasing 2 stitches in even rows (make yarn overs), until there are 23 stitches on the needle.

Then knit 40 rows in the main pattern.

Then knit as follows:

* 1st row (right side of work): 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, slip the next stitch, not knitting (place the yarn in front of the work), turn the work.

2nd row: knit stitches.

3rd row: 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, 10 knits, slip the next stitch, not knitting (place the yarn in front of the work), turn the work.

4th row: knit stitches.

5th row: knit all stitches (2 knits, 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together knit, knit until the last 4 stitches, 1 simple drop stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knits).

6th row: knit stitches. *

Repeat from * to * 2 more times.

Then knit straight for 70 (78) rows in the main pattern.

Then knit from * to * 3 times.

Then knit 40 rows in the main pattern.

In the next knit row (even row) start decreases: 2 knits, 1 yarn over, 1 double drop stitch, knit until the last 5 stitches, 1 double drop stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knits.

Perform decreases in knit rows until 5 stitches remain on the needle.

Bind off the remaining stitches.

Starting from the central stitch of the cast-on edge, pick up 220 (228) stitches around the edge of the knitted piece on circular needles (the number of stitches must be a multiple of 4) and knit ruffles:

1st row: * 3 purls, 1 knit *, repeat from * to *.

2nd and all even rows: knit stitches according to the pattern (knits over knits, purls over purls).

3rd row: * right increase with twisting, 1 knit, left increase with twisting, 3 purls *, repeat from * to *.

5th row: * right increase with twisting, 3 knits, left increase with twisting, 3 purls *, repeat from * to *.

7th row: * right increase with twisting, 5 knits, left increase with twisting, 3 purls *, repeat from * to *.

9th row: * right increase with twisting, 7 knits, left increase with twisting, 3 purls *, repeat from * to *.

Bind off all stitches.

To fasten the scarf, you can use a button or brooch.
We assume this is the scheme  of the scarf edge
But it seems the pattern is understandable. The only nuance that I didn’t know how to reflect in the scheme: the first 4 yarn overs in the rows are regular, yarn over and yarn over... but starting from the 5th and until the end of the height repeat, I made a twisted yarn over so that it didn’t create a hole, but just an additional stitch.
Please note that all even rows - wrong side rows - are knitted purl.
Separate stitches are drawn out - these are according to the pattern. The empty squares are purls.
