10 calculation and knitting mistakeshttp://klubok.work/1/203/6602/Klubok

Knitters:
1. do not always take into account that each garment should be larger than the measured dimensions (for free movement), depending on the body type - from 6 to 15 cm.
This mainly concerns the bust circumference.

For example, when measuring the bust circumference of 100 cm, the calculation should be done as follows: 100:2=50 cm, this is the width of the back (before decreasing for the armholes).
The front will be wider: 50+6=56 cm.

For sports sweaters, the width of the back and front can be the same, and we add 10 cm for free movement.

2. The armhole on the back is knitted to a height equal to the armhole on the front, and sometimes even shorter.
In fact, the armhole on the back should always be higher (longer) than on the front, by at least 1-2 cm.
The more protruding (stooped) the back, the more attention should be paid when constructing the pattern to the corresponding increase in the height of the armhole on the back (exceptions are only items for babies).

3. The shoulder slope is sometimes made the same on the front and back.
In fact, the shoulder slope on the front should be 1-2 cm larger than on the back.

4. The neckline on the back is sometimes made too narrow and shallow;
therefore, it is important to remember to have sufficient depth and width of the cut.

If mistakes have been made, as mentioned in points 2, 3, or 4, then
a) the shoulder seams will "run away" back;
the reason - too short armhole on the back and incorrect shoulder slope;

b) the jacket or blouse will pull away at the neck and the entire garment will tend to "run away" back;
the reason - a narrow and shallow neckline.
