Author: Jayceebee.

1. Position the pieces to be joined opposite each other. Cast on 3 stitches for the connecting cord.
2. Transfer the stitch from the right needle to the left needle.
3. Knit the first stitch of the cord together with the transferred stitch from the right needle as a knit stitch.
4. Knit the second stitch of the cord as a knit stitch.
5. Knit the third stitch of the cord together with the stitch from the left needle as a knit stitch with a left slant (= pass over: slip 1 as knit, knit 1, pass the knitted stitch over the slipped one).
6. Repeat steps 2-5 until all pieces are joined.
