One of the options for decreasing the stitches at the crown of the hat. This way, you will achieve a perfectly flat and beautiful crown. For an even, beautiful decrease of the crown stitches, the number of stitches on your hat needles should be divisible by 4 without a remainder. For example: if you have 104 stitches on your needles, dividing by 4 gives 26. Minus 4, i.e. one from each wedge. (104-4):4 equals 25, so each wedge will have 25 stitches and one knit stitch between the wedges that form a path. We will decrease stitches with a left slope, then with a right slope every other row. We do this as follows: ?Knit 10 stitches. ?

Slip the eleventh stitch onto the needle. ?

Knit the twelfth stitch, then knit the eleventh stitch onto the twelfth. ?

Then knit one stitch. ?

Knit the first stitch of the next wedge, then return it to the left needle. ?

Lift the second stitch over the first, and move the first stitch to the right needle. ?

Then knit 11 stitches. ?

Take the second, third, and fourth double-pointed needles and knit exactly the same way. ?

Knit the second row and all even rows according to the pattern. ?

Knit until there are 3 stitches left between the chains of knit stitches (from 25). In the next row, knit these 3 stitches together. ?

When there are 8 stitches left on the needles, drop them onto the yarn and pull tight. The crown is ready.
