Connecting parts, knit seams

Connecting parts, knit seamshttp://klubok.work/1/203/7865/Klubok
Horizontal knitted seam: (stitch "loop to loop") a) Used to connect parts of hosiery knitting at open loops. It does not disrupt the structure of the knitted fabric and maintains its elasticity. When sewing with the "loop to loop" seam, an additional row is always formed on the fabric. For example, if a pattern with a repeat of 4 rows is knitted, then on one part two rows are knitted (we see the finished row and a row on the needle), while on the second part only 1 row is knitted; the stitches on the needles when connecting will give us the 4th row of the repeat. The open stitches of both parts are placed opposite each other and sewn from right to left on the front side with a thread of the same color and thickness used for knitting the parts. For this: the needle is inserted from the bottom up from the wrong side to the front in the 1st stitch of the lower row, then - from the top down from the front side to the wrong side in the 1st stitch of the upper row and immediately brought out from the bottom up in the next 2nd stitch of the upper row. The needle is inserted from the top down from the front side to the wrong side in the 1st stitch of the lower row and immediately brought out from the bottom up in the next 2nd stitch of the lower row. Then - from the top down in the 2nd stitch of the upper row, and it is brought out in the next 3rd stitch, and so on. The stitches of the seam should be the same size as the stitches of the fabric. Only under this condition will the seam be completely invisible. If the joined parts are knitted in a 1x1 rib, then the same method can be used for joining. For this, placing the stitches opposite each other, only the front stitches are connected, skipping the purl stitches. Then the product is turned with the wrong side facing out and the remaining stitches are sewn with the same seam (on the wrong side, they are front stitches). When sewing from the needle, insert the needle with a bottom-up motion first into the edge stitches of the lower and upper parts. After that, insert the needle with a top-down motion into the edge stitch of the lower part and bring it out with a bottom-up motion from the next stitch. Then remove the 2nd stitch from the needle. The needle is alternately inserted into the upper and lower parts and brought out from the next stitch on the needle. After that, the thread is not pulled too tightly. The stitches on the needle and the seam form a new row on the knitted fabric. On parts knitted in purl stitch, the stitches are sewn by bringing the needle not from the bottom (from the wrong side) up (to the front side), but from the top (from the front side) down (to the wrong side) and vice versa. b) along the open stitches of the longitudinal and along the edges of the transverse fabric of the parts The parts are sewn from right to left on the front side with a horizontal knitted seam, inserting the needle into the open stitches of one fabric and capturing the arches of the stitches located near the edges of the other fabric. Such a connection is used, for example, when sewing sleeves into armholes. c) along closed edge stitches Position the parts opposite each other with the front side up and secure them. Make the seam evenly pulling the thread to maintain the same height of the front stitches at the seam.
