THREE SIMPLE BUT BEAUTIFUL WAYS TO FINISH THE NECKLINE OF KNITTED ITEMS

Rows 1-2: single crochet; 
Row 3: alternate single crochet and one chain stitch; 
Row 4: single crochet; 
Row 5: crab stitch

I most often crochet 1 row of sc and "crab stitch".

In the pink top, after a row of sc, I crocheted alternating 3 dc (with a common top) and 3 ch. Last row: 2 sc alternating with picot.
If the edging tightens the neckline, take a larger hook.
