42/44
You will need: 350
(400) 450 g of green Soft Shetland yarn (100% wool, 130 m/50 g); straight needles
No. 4.5 and No. 5; circular needles No. 4.5; hook No. 4
Ribbing: alternating 1 knit, 1
purl.
Purl stitch: knit on the right side — purl on the wrong side,
knit on the wrong side — purl on the right side.
Stockinette stitch: knit on the right side — knit on the wrong side,
purl on the wrong side — purl on the right side.
Cable (width 8 sts): 1st and 2nd rows: stockinette stitch; 3rd row: 8 sts cross left (= 4 sts leave on a spare needle in front of work, 4 knits and knit the sts from the spare needle); 4th to 10th rows: stockinette stitch. Repeat from 1st to 10th rows.
Cable pattern: number of stitches multiple of 20
(22) 24 + 12 (14) 16 sts + 2 edge. Edge, * 12 (14) 16 sts purl stitch, 8 sts cable,
repeat from * 3 times, ending with 12 (14) 16 sts purl stitch,
edge.
Grape cluster (width 5 sts): knit
according to chart 1, which shows only right side rows. On wrong side rows, knit the stitches.
Position the cluster as indicated in the text. Complete rows 1 to 14 once.
Pattern for sleeves (width 13 sts): knit
according to chart 2, which shows only right side rows. On wrong side rows, knit according
to pattern, knit twisted — purl, "bobble" stitches — knit. Repeat from 1st to 8th
rows.
Leaf (width at the beginning of the pattern 5 sts + 2
edge): knit according to chart 3, which shows both right and wrong side rows. Start the leaf with 1
purl. At the beginning and end of each row, knit an additional edge. In rows 1 to 6,
make increases as indicated. In row 8, bind off the first 4 sts knit, in row 9,
bind off the first 4 sts purl, then proceed as indicated. Complete rows 1 to 14 once.
After row 14, cut the working yarn not too short and pull it through
the last stitch. Sew the leaf with the end of the yarn.
Knitting density. Cable pattern: 23 sts
and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm; purl stitch: 20 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
cable: 8 sts = 3 cm;
sleeve pattern: 13 sts = 7 cm.
Back: cast on 94 (104) 114 sts and
knit for the band 5 cm in ribbing. Then knit in cable pattern. After 30.5 cm =
76 rows (32 cm = 80 rows) 33.5 cm = 84 rows from the band, bind off 5 sts on both sides for armholes,
then in every 2nd row bind off 2 x 2 and 2 x 1 sts = 72 (82) 92 sts. After 48 cm =
120 rows (52 cm = 130 rows) 56 cm = 140 rows from the band, bind off 7 (9) 11 sts on both sides for
shoulder slopes. At the same time as the 1st decrease for shoulder slopes,
bind off the middle 42 (44) 46 sts for the neck and finish both sides
separately. After 49 cm = 122 rows (53 cm = 132 rows) 57 cm = 142 rows from the band,
bind off the remaining 8 (10) 12 sts for the shoulder.
Front: knit as the back, only with
the grape cluster pattern and a deeper neck. The clusters with "bobble"
are executed on the 6th -10th (8th - 12th) 10th - 14th stitch of the purl stitch track
and positioned as follows: start the 1st cluster 7 cm = 18 rows from the band in
the middle track of purl sts, the 2nd cluster 24 cm = 60 rows from the band in the 2nd
track of purl stitch and the 3rd cluster — 38.5 cm = 96 rows from the band in the middle
track of purl stitch. After 44 cm = 110 rows (48 cm = 120 rows) 52 cm = 130 rows from
the band, bind off the middle 24 (26) 28 sts for the neck and for rounding on
the inner edge in every 2nd row 2 x 3, 1 x 2 and 1 x 1 sts.
Sleeves: cast on 46 (52) 58 sts and knit
for the band 5 cm in ribbing, while in the last row evenly increase 1 (3) 5
sts = 47 (55) 63 sts. Then distribute the stitches as follows: edge, 5 (8) 11 sts
purl stitch, 8 sts cable, 3 (4) 5 sts purl stitch, 13 sts sleeve pattern, 3 (4) 5 sts
purl stitch, 8 sts cable, 5 (8) 11 sts purl stitch, edge. For the slopes, increase on
both sides, starting from the band, 4 x 1 st in every 12th row and 4 x 1 st in every
10th row (8 x 1 st in every 10th row and 1 x 1 st in the following 8th row) 4 x 1 st in every
10th row and 6 x 1 st in every 8th row, including the increased sts in the purl stitch = 63
(73) 83 sts. After 37.5 cm = 94 rows from the band, bind off 5 sts on both sides for the cap of
the sleeve, then in every 2nd row bind off 1 x 2, 12 x 1 and 2 x 3 sts. After 50.5 cm = 126
rows from the band, bind off the remaining 13 (23) 33 sts.
Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. Around
the neck, cast on 90 (94) 98 sts with circular needles and knit 2 cm in ribbing
in round rows. Then bind off the stitches according to the pattern. Set in the sleeves. Sew
the side seams and the sleeve seams. Knit 4 leaves. Sew the leaves onto the middle track of
the front's purl stitch, positioning the 1st leaf under the 1st cluster and 3 leaves
one above the other between the clusters with an offset. Crochet slip stitches as stems to the adjacent
cables. Then crochet slip stitches as stems from the clusters to the adjacent cables.
Also crochet slip stitches randomly near the cables for branches.
