for the pullover: 300 (350) 400 g of "Royalpaka" yarn in beige color number 02 (78% alpaca, 22% silk, 110 m/50 g);
straight needles No. 7, 8, and 10, as well as circular needles No. 7 and hook No. 6.
Ribbing: alternating 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
Stockinette stitch: Right side - knit stitches, wrong side - purl stitches.
Purl stitch: Right side - purl stitches, wrong side - knit stitches.
Cable pattern (for 51 stitches):
Knit according to the chart, which shows the right side rows.
In the wrong rows, knit all stitches as they appear.
Knit 1 time from the 1st to the 64th row, then continuously repeat from the 53rd to the 64th row.
Special decreases:
at the beginning of the row: edge stitch, 1 knit stitch, 2 stitches together knit;
at the end of the row: knit 2 stitches together through the back loop (= slip 1 stitch as knit, knit 1 stitch and pull it through the slipped stitch), 1 knit stitch, edge stitch.
Knitting density:
stockinette stitch on needles No. 8 with "Royalpaka" yarn: 12 stitches and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
cable pattern on needles No. 8 with "Royalpaka" yarn: 14 g/ and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 51 stitches = 36 cm;
stockinette stitch on needles No. 10 with "Duncan" yarn: 9 stitches and 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
On needles No. 7 with "Royalpaka" yarn cast on 58 (64) 70 stitches using a crosswise cast-on and knit 5 cm in ribbing for the hem.
Then continue on needles No. 8 in stockinette stitch.
For the armhole, after 30 cm = 54 rows from the hem, bind off 1 time 3 stitches on both sides, then in every 2nd row 3 times 1 stitch using the special decrease = 46 (52) 58 stitches.
After 51 cm = 92 rows (53.5 cm = 96 rows) 55.5 cm = 100 rows from the hem, bind off all stitches knit, with the middle 26 (28) 30 stitches forming the neck opening, and the outer 10 (12) 14 stitches belonging to the shoulders.
Front:
On needles No. 7 with "Royalpaka" yarn cast on 62 (68) 74 stitches using a crosswise cast-on and knit 10.5 cm in ribbing for the hem, and in the last wrong row increase 1 middle (central) stitch = 63 (69) 75 stitches.
Then on needles No. 8 continue in the following distribution: edge stitch, 5 (8) 11 stitches in purl stitch, 51 stitches in cable pattern, 5 (8) 11 purl stitches, edge stitch.
For the armhole, after 24.5 cm = 44 rows from the hem, bind off 1 time 3 stitches on both sides and subsequently on the purl stitches continue in stockinette stitch, rounding the armhole by decreasing 2 times 1 stitch in every 2nd row = 53 (59) 65 stitches.
For the neck opening, after 35.5 cm = 64 rows (38 cm = 68 rows) 40 cm = 72 rows from the hem, bind off the middle 23 (25) 27 stitches and finish both sides separately.
For rounding, from the inner edge bind off 1 stitch in every 2nd row 4 times.
Assembling the pullover parts:
Seam the shoulder seams, possibly slightly stretching the front shoulder edges for sizes 1 and 2.
On the neck opening, crochet 64 (68) 72 connecting stitches (slip stitch without yarn over).
On circular needles in each connecting stitch pick up 1 stitch, inserting the needle only into the back loop of the stitch and knit 3 cm in ribbing in the round for the hem.
Then bind off the stitches as they appear.
Set in the sleeves.
Seam the side seams and the sleeve seams.
After 45.5 cm = 82 rows (48 cm = 86 rows) 50 cm = 90 rows from the hem, bind off the remaining 11 (13) 15 stitches for the shoulders.
Sleeve:
On needles No. 7 with "Royalpaka" yarn cast on 36 (40) 44 stitches using a crosswise cast-on and knit 5 cm in ribbing.
Then continue on needles No. 8 in stockinette stitch.
For the sleeve slopes from the hem, increase 5 times every 12th row (6 times every 10th row) 6 times every 10th row by 1 stitch = 46 (52) 56 stitches.
For the cap of the sleeve after 39 cm = 70 rows from the cast-on edge, bind off 1 time 3 stitches on both sides, then in every 2nd row decrease 15 times by 1 stitch using the special decrease.
After 56.5 cm = 102 rows from the hem, bind off the remaining 10 (16) 20 stitches.
