Sizes: 36/38 and 40/42

The data in parentheses is for size 40/42. If there is a single number, it applies to both sizes.

Materials: 500(550)g of yarn (22% cashmere, 78% merino wool) in green color (color 4), needles N4 and 4.5, additional needle.

Main pattern: see diagrams 1 and 2. Only odd rows are indicated in the diagrams. In even rows, knit stitches according to the pattern. Insert the pattern from diagram 2 (= lace leaves) in the specified place. Repeat the segments marked in red in height.


Stockinette stitch: odd rows – knit, even rows – purl.

Purl stitch: odd rows – purl, even rows – knit.

Gauge: 28 stitches x 30 rows in the main pattern = 10?10cm. Stockinette stitch 22 stitches x 30 rows.

Back: cast on 122(134) stitches with needles No. 4 and knit 1 row of purl stitches. Then knit as follows: edge, 26(32) stitches in stockinette stitch. 68 stitches pattern according to diagram 1 (all indicated stitches from A to D), 26(32) stitches in stockinette stitch, edge. For shaping, decrease 9x1 stitch on both sides every 6 rows. From a height of 19cm, increase 9x1 stitch on both sides every 6 rows. At a height of 38cm for armholes, bind off on both sides every 2 rows 1x3 stitches, 2x2 stitches, and 6x1 stitches. After 122 rows from the beginning of knitting (=2 rows + 5 repeats in height) knit the main pattern according to diagram 1 starting from row 25. At a height of 58cm, perform shoulder slopes: bind off 3x7(9) stitches every 2 rows. Leave the remaining 54 stitches open.

Front: knit as the back.

Sleeves: cast on 90 stitches with needles N4. knit 1 row of purl stitches, then knit as follows: edge, 25 purl stitches, 38 stitches in the main pattern according to diagram 1 between B and C, 25 purl stitches, edge. For flaring the sleeves, decrease 2x1 stitch on both sides every 6 rows, and 11x1 stitch every 4 rows. From a height of 20cm, increase alternately on both sides every 4 and 6 rows 13x1 stitch. After 122 rows from the beginning of knitting knit the main pattern according to diagram 1 starting from row 25. At a height of 43 cm, perform the cap: bind off on both sides every 2 rows 1x4 stitches, 2x3 stitches, 5x2 stitches, 4x1 stitch, 5x2 stitches, 2x3 stitches and 1x4 stitches. Bind off the remaining stitches at a height of 56 cm in one go.

Assembly: layout the pieces according to the pattern, dampen, let dry. Sew the seams. For the collar, cast on 54 stitches with needles 4.5: from the front and back. Between them, pick up 2 stitches from the shoulders and continue knitting in the round in a lattice pattern (see diagram). Increase at the same place on both sides every 2 rows 4x1 stitch, then 3x in every 4 rows. At a height of 9 cm, bind off all stitches.

Explanation of the diagram (top down):

1 knit 1 purl 1 yarn over

1 bobble – knit 7 stitches from 1 stitch (1 knit, 1 twisted knit alternately), pulling long stitches. Transfer all 7 stitches to the left needle, knit together twisted.

1 bobble (red cross) - knit 7 stitches from the yarn between the stitches (1 knit, 1 twisted knit alternately), pulling long stitches. Transfer all 7 stitches to the left needle, knit together twisted, then knit the resulting stitch with the next stitch together purl.

2 crossed to the right: 1 stitch slip to the back. 1 knit, purl the slipped stitch.

2 crossed stitches to the left: 1 stitch slip to the front. 1 purl... knit the slipped stitch.

4 crossed stitches to the left: slip 4 stitches to the front. 1 purl, knit the slipped stitches.

4 crossed stitches to the right: slip 1 stitch to the back. 4 knit, purl the slipped stitch.

8 crossed stitches to the left: slip 4 stitches to the front, 4 knit, knit the slipped stitches.

8 crossed stitches to the right: slip 4 stitches to the back. 4 knit, knit the slipped stitch.

6 crossed stitches to the right: slip 1 stitch to the back. 3 knit, knit the slipped stitch.

6 crossed stitches to the left: slip 3 stitches to the front. 1 knit, knit the slipped stitches. (there seems to be something mixed up here, need to look at the pattern)

simple yarn over: slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit the next stitch knitwise, pull it through the slipped stitch, 2 stitches together knitwise.

double yarn over: slip 2 stitches knitwise, knit 1 stitch, pull through the slipped stitches.
