Sizes: S/M/L/XL
You will need:
850/900/1000/1100 g of grey melange (291.041) Duvetine yarn (73% acrylic, 19% polyamide, 8% polyester,
70 m/50 g); needles No. 6 and No. 6.5; 1 auxiliary needle; 1 stitch holder
pin.
Rib 1/1, needles No. 6: alternate 1 knit, 1 purl.
Stockinette stitch, needles No. 6.5: knit on right side – knit stitches, purl on wrong side – purl stitches.
Reverse stockinette stitch, needles No. 6.5: knit on right side – purl stitches, purl on wrong side – knit stitches.
Cable pattern A, needles No. 6.5: number of stitches multiple of 3. Knit according to chart 1.
Work rows 1 to 4 once, then repeat rows 3 to 4.
Cable pattern B, needles No. 6.5: number of stitches multiple of 8 + 1. Knit according to chart 2.
Work rows 1 to 28 once, then repeat rows 1 to 28.
Gauge for stockinette stitch: 12 sts and 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: cast on 55/59/63/69 sts with needles No. 6. Knit 12 cm (= 24 rows) in 1/1 rib, increasing in
the last row by 1 st = 56/60/64/70 sts. Then switch to needles No. 6.5 and
knit 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 1 st in reverse stockinette stitch,
48/52/58 sts in stockinette stitch, 1 st in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 2 sts in reverse
stockinette stitch. After 26 cm (= 48 rows) from the rib, increase on both sides
by 1 st once, then every 4th row 3 times 1 st and every 2nd row 4 times 1 st =
72/76/82/88 sts. After 44 cm (= 74 rows) from the rib, bind off for armholes on
both sides 1 time 2 sts and every 2nd row 1 time 2 sts, 1 time 1 st and every 4th
row 2 times 1 st = 56/60/66/72 sts. After 68/70/72/74 cm from the rib, bind off
the remaining stitches.
Front: cast on 55/59/63/69 sts with needles No. 6. Knit 12 cm (= 24 rows) in 1/1 rib, evenly
increasing in the last row = 64/68/72/78 sts. Then switch to needles No. 6.5 and knit
2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 8 sts in
cable pattern B, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 30/34/38/44 sts in stockinette stitch, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch,
8 sts in cable pattern B, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 2 sts in reverse
stockinette stitch. In the next row on the wrong side knit 5 sts, then
place the next 59/63/67/73 sts on hold, turn the work, knit
5 sts, add from the wrong side every 2nd row 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 5 sts,
2 times 6 sts, 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 5 sts, 2 times 6 sts, 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 6 sts, 2 times 6 sts,
2 times 6 sts, 2 times 7 sts and place the resulting 23/25/27/29 sts on hold. From the wrong
side place the last 5 sts on hold and knit in mirror image,
then knit 3 rows on the resulting 23/25/27/29 sts, combine all
stitches and knit with different patterns. After 35 cm (= 64 rows) from
the cast-on edge bind off 1 time 2 sts from both sides. In the next row
decrease by 1 st, 10/10/10/12 sts in stockinette stitch, 1 yarn over, 1 st slip,
1 knit and pull it through the slipped st, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit —
-
2 times 2 sts together knit, 1 yarn over and knit the row to the end. Knit
3 rows. On the remaining 50/54/58/62 sts. In the next row knit
23/25/27/29 sts with different patterns, 2 times 2 sts together purl and knit
purl to the end. Knit 3 rows and bind off 48/52/56/60 sts. In each row
decrease by 4 sts to the end. Repeat from * to * 1 time and from * to * 1 time and
another 2 times 2 sts together purl, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 times 2 sts together purl,
1 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 times 2 sts together purl, 1 knit, 1 yarn over —
a total of 4 times. -
To decrease 4 sts on the middle sts:
knit sts until there are 10 sts left to the center of the front, knit 1 double
yarn over (1 st slip, 2 sts knit together), then knit the row to the end. Knit 3 rows straight and in
the next row repeat the decreases. A total of 32 sts are bound off.Sleeves:
cast on, using 4 skeins, 30/32/35/39/41 sts with needles No. 6. Knit 12 cm
(= 24 rows) in 1/1 rib. In the last row increase by 4 sts =
34/36/39/43/45 sts. Then switch to needles No. 6.5 and knit
2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 8 sts in
cable pattern B, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch, 3 sts in cable pattern A, 2 sts in reverse stockinette stitch.
In the next row on the wrong side knit 5 sts, then place
the next 24/26/28/30/32 sts on hold, turn the work, knit 5 sts,
add from the wrong side every 2nd row 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 5 sts,
2 times 6 sts, 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 5 sts, 2 times 6 sts, 2 times 4 sts, 2 times 6 sts, 2 times 6 sts,
2 times 6 sts, 2 times 7 sts and place the resulting 10/12/13/15/17 sts on hold.
On the opposite side work in mirror image, knit 3 rows on
the resulting 52/56/60/64/68/74 sts, then combine the stitches and knit
with different patterns, 2 times 2 sts together purl, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 2 times 2 sts.

36/40/44/48/52/58 sts. In the next row knit 20/22/24/26/28 sts.

…knitted at the front, knit 15 sts in stockinette
stitch and the next 9/10/11/12 sts
and place them on the right needle. On
the left needle place the held
9/10/11/12 sts on a stitch holder. Using skein No. 4 knit 15 sts,
then place on these 9/10/11/12 sts,
then knit the last 9 sts from the left
needle in reverse stockinette stitch, the remaining
stitches that overlap the bottom
9 sts, place on a stitch holder. Using skein No. 3 knit
15 sts, then place on the needle the held
stitches and knit them.
Knit 1 row in reverse stockinette stitch. Knit
13 rows in stockinette stitch, 1 row in reverse stockinette,
3 rows in stockinette stitch, in the next
row bind off all stitches.Decorative strips (4 pcs.):
cast on 15 sts with needles No. 6. Knit
125/120/120/120 cm in stockinette stitch,
then 1 row in reverse stockinette. In the following
knit row bind off all stitches.
Press the strips from the wrong side
through a damp cloth, then sew
the strips into the cable according to the photo
diagram, while securing both
sides of the resulting cable with separate
stitches from the wrong side.
Sew each strip in strictly following the direction of the stitches.
Attach the sleeves to the back and front.
Complete the side seams, keeping the upper part of the sleeves
open. Fold the facing
along the crease to the wrong side,
sew it in, leaving a small
opening. Insert elastic tape,
secure the ends. Complete the seams
of the sleeves and sides.
