BEIGE JACKET

SIZE: 38
YOU WILL NEED:
700 g of beige yarn Mondial Merino Special (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 79 m/50 g)

NEEDLES:
straight needles No. 6 and No. 6.5

AND ALSO:
4 buttons


Knitting density:

10 x 10 cm = 15 sts x 19 rows.

Main pattern (alternating garter stitch and stockinette stitch):

1st row (right side): * 14 sts garter stitch, 14 sts stockinette stitch *, repeat from * to *
2nd row (wrong side): knit the stitches according to the pattern.
Repeat these 2 rows.


BACK:

On needles No. 6, cast on 70 sts and knit 4 cm in garter stitch.
Then switch to needles No. 6.5 and continue with the main pattern, starting from the 1st row.
At a height of 40 cm, for the armholes, bind off 3 sts on both sides, then 2 sts and 1 st every 2nd row.
At a height of 62 cm, bind off the remaining shoulder stitches and 16 sts for the neckline.


RIGHT FRONT:

Cast on 38 sts on needles No. 6, knit 4 cm in garter stitch.
Switch to needles No. 6.5 and knit in the main pattern.
For the neckline, at a height of 52 cm, bind off 10 sts, then 2 times 2 sts and 2 times 1 st every 2nd row.
At a height of 62 cm, bind off the remaining shoulder stitches.


LEFT FRONT:

Knit symmetrically.


SLEEVES:

Cast on 38 sts on needles No. 6, knit 4 cm in garter stitch.
Switch to needles No. 6.5, continue with the main pattern, increasing 1 st on both sides every 6th row 6 times.
At a height of 44 cm, bind off 3 sts on both sides, then 2 sts, and 10 times 1 st every 2nd row.
At a height of 60 cm, bind off the remaining stitches.


ASSEMBLY:

Sew the shoulder seams.
Set in the sleeves, and sew the side and sleeve seams.
Along the fronts and neckline, pick up stitches and knit 4 cm in garter stitch, making 4 buttonholes on the right front (each buttonhole — bind off 2 sts and cast them back on in the next row).
