Sweater length: 69 cm.

For better understanding, it is recommended to read the instructions carefully first and determine the required size accordingly.

You will need:

750 (800) ((850)) g of LINIE 4 STARWOOL yarn in gray color number 105 (100% wool, 125 m/50 g), needles No. 4.5 and 2 additional needles.

Garter stitch: knit all rows knit.

Purl stitch: knit knit rows - purl, purl rows - knit.

Cable pattern: knit according to the charts.

Cable 1 and cable 2 are knitted alternately.

Both cables are identical, only they are arranged in a checkerboard pattern and intertwine in different rows.

4 (5) ((6)) purls are knitted between the cables.

Knit height 1 x from rows 1 to 12 with marked increases, then continuously repeat from rows 13 to 44 (= 32 rows)

In purl rows, knit all stitches according to the pattern.

Ribbing (sleeve and neckline): alternately knit 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches.

Knitting density:

cable pattern: 29 stitches and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

ribbing: 27 stitches and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 117 (125) ((133)) stitches and knit rows 1 to 4 with knit stitches, rows 5 and 6 - with purl stitches.

For the cable pattern, distribute the stitches as follows: selvedge stitch * 4 (5) ((6)) purl stitches, 11 stitches cable 1, 4 (5) ((6)) purl stitches, 13 stitches cable 2, repeat from *, 4 (5) ((6)) purl stitches, 11 stitches cable 1, 4 (5) ((6)) purl stitches, selvedge stitch.

Knit straight (even) in this distribution.

After 12 rows of the pattern (after the last increase), you will have 146 (154) ((162)) stitches on the needle.

Knit straight and continuously repeat from rows 13 to 44.

For the armhole, after 48 (46.5) ((45)) cm of the cable pattern, close 1 x 4 (5) ((6)) stitches on both sides, decrease 5 x 3, 2 x 2 stitches every 2nd row = 100 (106) ((112)) stitches.

After 67 cm of the cable pattern, close these stitches, knitting the distributed stitches together so that the closed edge is not wavy.

Front:

Knit as for the back, but for the neckline, close the middle 16 stitches after 60 cm of the cable pattern (knitting the distributed stitches together so that the closed edge is not wavy) and finish both sides separately.

To round the neckline, decrease 1 x 4, 4 x 3, 1 x 2 and 1 x 1 stitch every 2nd row.

After 67 cm of the cable pattern, close 23 (26) ((29)) shoulder stitches, knitting the distributed stitches together so that the closed edge is not wavy.

For the sleeve shaping, increase 16 x 1 stitch on both sides every 8th row (alternately in every 8th and the following 6th row 18 x 1 stitch) ((every 6th row 20 x 1 stitch) = 84 (92) ((100)) stitches.

Include the increases in the ribbing pattern.

For the sleeve cap, after 50 (48.5) ((47)) cm, close 1 x 3 (4) ((5)) stitches on both sides, close 2 x 2 stitches every 2nd row, 13 x (14x) ((15x)) 1 stitch, 1 x (2x) ((3x)) 2 stitches, 1 x 3, 1 x 4 stitches and close the remaining 26 stitches.
