Dear fashionistas, if you want to always look fashionable, stylish, and relevant, then a pullover, a type of sweater with different necklines, is an indispensable item in your wardrobe. After all, these sweaters have not gone out of fashion for about 100 years. What makes them so famous and popular? It's very simple: pullovers do not adhere to rules and defined patterns. The cut, fabric, pattern, and silhouette can be absolutely different. And you can combine these sweaters with any items. Each time your pullover will "play" in a new way: a pullover with classic trousers is a great option for office dress code, a pullover with off-the-shoulder sleeves and ripped jeans is a trendy casual style, and a voluminous pullover with a pencil skirt is what stylists and fashion critics recommend this year. A pullover for women is a special item in the wardrobe due to its comfort and the ability to combine with any jewelry and clothing, creating a unique look every time.
And the most important thing is that this indispensable item for any fashionista can be made entirely by yourself. For this, we offer you a knitted pullover pattern, method: circular rows from top to bottom without seams, sizes XS (X, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL) from Norah Gaughan.
For knitting, we will need Berroco Ficker yarn, namely five (six, six, seven, eight, eight, nine) skeins; circular needles with a diameter of 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm, length of forty and eighty cm; a set of double-pointed needles (for sleeves) 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm, and of course, a helper needle (auxiliary); markers and stitch holders.
Knitting density: twenty stitches and twenty-eight rows, which equals ten by ten centimeters of stockinette stitch with 5.5 mm needles.
Main stitch - knit stitches in each round (stockinette stitch).
Plus 1 knit stitch = 1 stitch added from the yarn over as a knit stitch.
It is important to remember that the pullover is knitted from the top down from the neckline.
Let's consider the yoke knitting scheme.
Using circular needles with a diameter of 4.5 mm and a length of forty cm, cast on ninety-eight (one hundred twelve, one hundred twelve, one hundred twenty-six, one hundred forty, one hundred forty, one hundred forty) stitches, remembering to place a marker at the beginning of the round to form a circle. Knit two rounds purl and one round knit. Then switch to 5.5 mm needles. Continue knitting according to the scheme, repeating the fourteenth stitch of the rapport seven (eight, eight, nine, ten, ten, ten) times around. Between repeats, do not forget to place markers. This should be done for thirty-six circular rows. When the stitches reach two hundred ten (two hundred forty, two hundred forty, two hundred seventy, three hundred, three hundred, three hundred), switch to long circular needles.
Then knit two and a half centimeters in knit stitches, remembering that stitches are added in the following way:
Size XS: [5 knit, +1 knit, 10 knit, +1 knit, 10 knit +1 knit, 5 knit, 10 knit, +1 knit, 10 knit, +1 knit, 10 knit.] and repeat 3 times, 5 knit, +1 knit, 10 knit +1 knit, 10 knit +1 knit, 5 knit = 228 stitches.
