Jumper made from DROPS Sky yarn. The piece is knitted from the top down with a lace pattern on the wide ¾-length sleeves. Sizes S - XXXL.
-------------------------------------------------------
Sizes:
S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL
You will need:
DROPS SKY yarn 300-300-350-400-400-450 g, color 13, light denim
Knitting gauge:
21 stitches and 28 rows of stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
Needles:
DROPS circular needles size 4 mm, cable lengths 40 and 80 cm for stockinette stitch.
DROPS double-pointed needles size 3 mm.
DROPS circular needles size 3 mm, cable lengths 40 and 80 cm for ribbing.
The size of the needles is given as a recommendation. If your gauge is too tight (too many stitches in 10 cm), use larger needles. If your gauge is too loose (too few stitches in 10 cm), use smaller needles.

KNITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
-------------------------------------------------------
PATTERN:
See chart A.1.
EVEN INCREASES:
To calculate the rhythm of even increases, divide the total number of stitches on the needles (e.g., 96 sts) by the number of increases needed (e.g., 16) = 6. In this example, you should make 1 yarn over after every 6th stitch to increase. In the next row, work the yarn overs as twisted stitches to avoid holes.
INCREASES ON THE BODY (on the sides):
Work until 2 stitches remain before the marker, 1 yarn over, 4 knits (the marker will remain in the middle of these 4 stitches), 1 yarn over. In the next row, work the yarn overs as twisted stitches to avoid holes. Then knit the added stitches in stockinette stitch.
CLOSING STITCHES TIP:
To avoid a tight edge, you can use a larger needle size for closing stitches. If the edge is still tight, you can yarn over approximately after every 3rd or 6th stitch while closing and treat it as a regular stitch.

DESCRIPTION OF KNITTING
-------------------------------------------------------
JUMPER, brief description of the work:
The neckline and yoke are knitted in the round on circular needles, starting from the middle of the back, from top to bottom. Stitches are increased at the shoulders in a lace pattern. Then the yoke is divided into the body and sleeves, and the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted on short circular/double-pointed needles from top to bottom.
NECKLINE:
Cast on 96-99-105-111-114-120 stitches on circular needles size 3 mm with Sky yarn. Knit 1 row in knit stitches. Then knit ribbing (1 knit, 2 purl) in the round to a height of 2 cm.
Then knit 1 row in knit stitches, evenly increasing 16-17-15-29-30-28 stitches – see Knitting Instructions = 112-116-120-140-144-148 stitches. Then another row in knit stitches, working the yarn overs as twisted stitches.
Change to circular needles size 4 mm. Mark the beginning of the row (= middle of the back), measure the yoke from this marker.
YOKE:
Continue knitting the pattern as described below:
Knit 12-13-14-19-20-21 knits, then chart A.1 on the next 32 stitches, 24-26-28-38-40-42 knits, chart A.1 on the next 32 stitches, and knit the remaining 12-13-14-19-20-21 stitches. Continue knitting according to the chart. Keep in mind the gauge !
When chart A.1 has been completed 5½-6-6½-6½-7-7½ times in height, a total of 264-288-312-312-336-360 stitches will have been added = 376-404-432-452-480-508 stitches on the needles.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until the height of the yoke is 24-26-28-30-32-34 cm from the marker at the neckline.
Then divide the knitting into the body and sleeves, as described below:
Knit 42-46-51-55-60-65 knit stitches (= ½ back), place the next 104-110-114-116-120-124 stitches on a holder (=sleeve), cast on 8-8-8-10-12-14 new stitches (=underarm), knit 84-92-102-110-120-130 knit stitches (= front), place the next 104-110-114-116-120-124 stitches on a holder (=sleeve) and cast on 8-8-8-10-12-14 underarm stitches, knit the remaining 42-46-51-55-60-65 stitches in knit stitches (= ½ back).
The body and sleeves are then knitted separately.
Further measurements of the parts are to be made from this point.
BODY:
On the needles = 184-200-220-240-264-288 stitches. Place 1 marker in the middle of each newly cast on underarm stitch (= 4-4-4-5-6-7 new stitches on each side of the marker). Move the markers down as you knit, they will be used to perform increases on the body of the jumper. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch in the round.
When 4 cm have been knitted from the division, increase 1 stitch on each side of both markers – see Knitting Instructions. Increases should be made every 4 cm a total of 4 times = 200-216-236-256-280-304 stitches.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until 21 cm have been knitted from the division. About 4 cm remain until the end of the knitting, try on the jumper and knit to the desired length if necessary.
In the next row, evenly increase 22-24-28-32-35-38 stitches = 222-240-264-288-315-342 stitches.
Change to circular needles size 3 mm and knit ribbing (1 knit, 2 purl) to a height of 4 cm. Close the stitches as per the pattern (knit stitches as knit, purl stitches as purl). If necessary, see the Tip for Closing Stitches.
The length of the jumper will be about 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the shoulder.
SLEEVES:
Transfer 104-110-114-116-120-124 stitches from one of the holders to short circular needles size 4 mm and pick up 1 stitch above each of the previously cast on 8-8-8-10-12-14 underarm stitches = 112-118-122-126-132-138 stitches.
Knit in stockinette stitch in the round until the length of the sleeve is 28-26-25-23-22-20 cm from the division (the smaller values for larger sizes due to the wider neckline and higher yoke). About 3 cm remain until the end of the sleeve knitting. Try on the jumper and knit to the desired length if necessary.
In the next row, knit as described below: 2 knits, then knit 2 stitches together until 2 stitches remain (= decreased 54-57-59-61-64-67 stitches) and knit the remaining 2 stitches as knits = 58-61-63-65-68-71 stitches. Knit 1 row in knit stitches, adjusting the number of stitches to 57-60-63-66-69-72 stitches.
Change to double-pointed needles size 3 mm and knit ribbing (1 knit, 2 purl) to a height of 3 cm. Close the stitches as per the pattern, see Tip for Closing Stitches if necessary.
The length of the sleeve will be about 31-29-28-26-25-23 cm from the division.
Knit the second sleeve in the same way as the first.
