Sizes: waist circumference approx. 89 [102, 113, 124, 134.5, 148, 159] cm. The shown pullover is size 102 cm with an allowance for loose fit of 16 cm.
Yarn: medium weight wool (No. 4 medium). Shown: Marine Silk Worsted by Blue Moon Fiber Arts (51% silk, 29% merino, 20% SeaCell viscose; 222 m / 100 g): neptune (turquoise), 5 skeins.
Needles: BACK AND SLEEVES: circular 4.5 mm (US 7): 40 and 60 or 80 cm. FRONT AND EDGES: circular 3.75 mm (US 5): 60 or 80 cm. Adjust needle size if necessary to achieve the correct gauge.
Notions: closing stitch markers (closed m); markers (m); stitch holders or scrap yarn; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 19 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with larger needles. 15 stitches and 22 rows = 10 cm in brioche rib with smaller needles.
NOTES
» The sweater has an unusual shape at the center front and back, creating a larger draped silhouette along the upper body.

KNITTING GUIDE
Ribbing 1 k, 1 p, in circular rows: (even number of stitches)
1st round: *1 k, 1 p; repeat from * to end of round. Repeat 1st round as established.
Ribbing 1 k, 1 p, in rows: (odd number of stitches)
1st row: (WS) 2 p, *1 k, 1 p; repeat from * to last stitch, 1 k.
2nd row: (RS) *1 p, 1 k; repeat from * to last stitch, 1 k. Repeat 1st and 2nd rows as established.
ABBREVIATIONS
SN1K (SLIP ONE, YARN OVER)
This is a combination of stitches that creates a stitch/yarn over pair, which is counted as one stitch. After a knit stitch or brk (brioche knit), bring the yarn forward between the needle tips, slip the next stitch purlwise and simultaneously bring the yarn over the needle behind the work. After a purl stitch or brp (brioche purl), with yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise and simultaneously bring the yarn over the needle behind the work.
BRK (BRIOCHE KNIT)
This is the brioche variant of the basic knit stitch, and it is worked the same as 2 brk. With the yarn behind the work, insert the tip of the right needle into the stitch and the corresponding yarn over knitwise. Knit them together as one knit stitch.
BRP (BRIOCHE PURL)
This is the brioche variant of the basic purl stitch, and it is worked the same as 2 brp. With yarn in front of the work, insert the tip of the right needle into the stitch and the corresponding yarn over purlwise. Purl them together as one purl stitch.
BACK
