Knitted Sweater

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8).

Chest circumference of the finished product: 74 (76, 81, 88, 97(103, 109, 116) cm.

The photo shows size 2 with a model chest circumference of 83 cm and a height of 163 cm, with a fit of -7 cm.

Materials:

• 11 (11, 11, 12, 13) (14, 15, 16) skeins of Cardiff Cashmere Classic yarn (100% cashmere; 112m/25g).

• Circular needles 3.25mm long 25-40cm for ribbing.

• Circular needles 3.5mm long 25-100cm for the main fabric.

• Stitch markers.

• Stitch holders (SH) or waste yarn.

Knitting gauge:

26 sts x 35 rows = 10x10cm, in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Special abbreviations:

RS/WS – right side/wrong side.

PM – place marker on the needle.

SM – move marker from the left needle to the right.

YO – yarn over to create 1 stitch leaning left.

YO – yarn over to create 1 stitch leaning right.

1L – knit 1 stitch through the front and back loop.

DP – double stitch (German short rows).

Turn work to RS/WS, slip 1 st as purl, yarn over the stitch behind the needle and pull tightly, creating two legs of the stitch (double stitch).

In the following rows, knit the double stitch together as knit/purl through both legs.

Note:

The sweater is knitted from the top down in the round, starting from the neckline, which is formed using German short rows for a comfortable fit.

Then increases are made for the sleeves and body.

In the armhole area, the piece is divided into the body and sleeves, which are knitted in the round. The sleeves are finished with high cuffs. Finally, a stand-up collar is knitted.

Recommended silhouette ease is -0…-8 cm from the chosen size.

To match the style of this sweater, it is recommended to choose the size where the final shoulder width will be approximately 5-10 cm narrower than your shoulder width.
