Description of Knitting the Pullover

GARTER STITCH: Knit all rows in knit stitches with needle No. 10, and purl rows with needle No. 7.

GAUGE: 12 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitted in garter stitch with needle No. 10.

BACK. Cast on 55 (60) 65 stitches with needle No. 10, then knit in garter stitch with needle No. 7.

After 3 cm from the starting row, continue working with needles No. 7 + 10.

After 58 cm from the starting row (measure while hanging), in one of the purl rows leave 18 (19) 20 stitches on each side, and bind off the middle 19 (22) 25 stitches.

FRONT. Cast on 56 (60) 66 stitches with needle No. 10, then knit in garter stitch with needle No. 7.

After 3 cm from the starting row, continue working with needles No. 7 + 10.

For the neckline, after 39 cm from the starting row (measure while hanging) divide the work at the center line and finish both sides separately.

For this, decrease alternately on both inner sides for the neckline in every 4th row 8 x 1 st. + 2 x 1 st. in every 2nd row /in every 4th row 7 x 1 st. + in every 2nd row 4 x 1 st./in every 2nd row + in every 4th row 13 x 1 st. or bind off the stitches smoothly.

Leave the remaining shoulder stitches at the same height as on the back.

SLEEVES. First, sew the shoulder seams with a slip stitch.

With needle No. 7, pick up about 20 (21) 22 stitches at the shoulder edges of the front and back, inserting the needle into every 2nd edge stitch (garter stitch) = 40 (42) 44 stitches.

Knit in garter stitch with needles No. 7 + 10.

After 12 cm from the cast-on row, for the armhole slope, decrease on both sides in every 10th row 5 x 1 st. = 30 (32) 34 stitches.

After 40 cm from the cast-on row (measure while hanging), knit 7 more rows with needle No. 7, then bind off the stitches in the purl row.

ASSEMBLY. Complete the side seams and sleeve seams.
