3. 4 stitches crossed to the left

Back: on needles No. 4.5 cast on 65/69/73/81 stitches. Knit 6 cm = 16 rows in 1x1 rib, increasing 1 stitch in the last row to 66/70/74/82 stitches, and knit in a cable pattern using needles No. 5 and No. 12. After 33/34/35/35 cm = 62/64/66/66 rows from the cast-on edge, place markers at the first and last stitches to indicate the start of the armholes (see the pattern). After 48/50/52/54 cm = 90/94/98/102 rows from the cast-on edge, set aside the middle 22/24/24/26 stitches for the neckline and continue knitting separately, binding off 1 x 4 stitches at the edges of the neckline. After 50/52/54/56 cm = 94/98/102/106 rows from the cast-on edge, set aside the remaining 18/19/21/24 stitches on both shoulders for the slopes.

Front: start as for the back. Mark the start of the armholes as on the back. After 46/48/50/52 cm = 86/90/94/98 rows from the cast-on edge, set aside the middle 14/16/16/18 stitches for the neckline and continue knitting separately, binding off at the edges of the neckline in every 2nd row 2 x 4 stitches. Set aside the stitches for the shoulder slopes as for the back.

Armhole bands: on needles No. 4.5 pick up 67/71/75/83 stitches. Knit 6 cm = 16 rows in 1x1 rib and set aside all stitches.

Assembly: perform the shoulder seams with the loop-to-loop seam. For the neckline on circular needles No. 4.5, pick up 22 stitches along the right edge of the front neckline, add the set-aside 14/16/16/18 stitches, pick up 22 stitches along the left edge of the front neckline, pick up 11 stitches along the right edge of the back neckline, add the set-aside 22/24/24/26 stitches, then pick up 11 stitches along the left edge of the back neckline = 102/106/106/110 stitches, knit 17 cm in 1x1 rib and bind off all stitches. Sew the armhole bands using the loop-to-loop seam on both sides from the shoulder seams. Sew the short edges of the bands. Sew side seams.
