Description of the scarf by designer Eline Oftedal translated from the magazine “The Knitter”.

Sizes:

S (M, L)

Circumference at the lower edge – 58 (65.5, 73) cm,

Height – 38 (40, 40) cm.

Recommended yarn:

Sublime Cotton Silk DK (75% cotton, 25% silk; 125 m / 50 grams per skein) – 2 skeins.

Necessary tools:

Circular needles No. 4, 40 cm long, stitch marker.

Knitting gauge:

22 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm of stockinette stitch.

Start of knitting:

Cast on 112 (124, 140) stitches.

Place a marker at the beginning of the round and join the stitches in a circular row.

Knit 8 cm in 2 x 2 ribbing (2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches).

Knit 1 round in knit stitches, increasing evenly 0 (2, 0) stitches.

Total on the needles 112 (126, 140) stitches.

Continue knitting the lace pattern according to the chart, repeating the repeat 8 (9, 10) times in one row.

Repeat rows 41-48 another 5 (6, 6) times, then knit row 41 once more.

Knit 1 round in knit stitches.

Edge:

Next round: purl stitches.

Next round: [1 yarn over, 2 stitches knit together purlwise] – repeat until the end of the round.

Repeat these two rounds one more time.

Bind off all stitches very loosely.

Weave in the end of the yarn. Steam the lace part, avoiding the upper part knitted in ribbing.

The scarf-collar is not only practical but also serves as a decorative accessory.
