Several versions of the description:
1 description You should knit from the bottom, starting with large size needles, so that it lays around the neck without curling. I cast on 160 stitches. I knitted up to the collarbone and started to decrease stitches at the back, I decreased 40 stitches, which was just enough to remove all the garter stitch, i.e., to completely switch to ribbing. I made decreases in every row. I knitted the neckline on 120 stitches. The yarn is 220 m-50 g. I used almost 3 skeins, 50 wool - 50 acrylic.
2 description I cast on 184 stitches on circular needles, they should be divisible by 8 and closed it into a circle. Each row of the pattern must be knitted 3 times. At the beginning and end evenly, until there are 2x2 ribbing on the needles. Rows 1-3 (1 p, 2 k, purl until the last 3 stitches) 2 k, 1 p. Rows 4-6 (1 p, 2 k, knit until the last 3 stitches) 2 k, 1 p. Rows 7-9 (1 p, 2 k, 2 p, 2 k, purl until the last 7 stitches) 2 k, 2 p, 2 k, 1 p. Rows 10-12 (1 p, 2 k, 2 p, 2 k, knit until the last 7 stitches) 2 k, 2 p, 2 k, 1 p. Draw this on graph paper and you will have the basis of the pattern. Knit 50 rows this way. Then, evenly decrease stitches after every 3 rows until there are 120 stitches left on the needles. I knitted the ribbing 2x2. about 22 cm. I closed all stitches.
3 description Knitting in the round. 100 stitches were cast on. It starts with the first two knit stitches. First 2 knit stitches, then all purl stitches - for three rows, then 2 knit, 2 purl, all knit until the last two (before the first knit) which are knitted purl - for another 3 rows. You cast on stitches, close it into a ring and then the first row - purl stitches and 2 medium knit stitches; 2nd row - purl stitches, 2 knit stitches in the middle, 3rd row - knit stitches, the middle 2 knit and from them 2 purl stitches on each side; 4th row - knit stitches, in the center 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl, 5th row - purl stitches, in the center 2 knit, 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl and so on, the pattern adds up.
