Japanese slippers

I provide a description of the main version of knitting, and then each craftswoman can come up with her own option for decoration and design.

Description

We cast on 40 stitches and knit in a 2x2 rib for 17-18 cm. By the way, I am using thick yarn, in three strands.


Then we decrease 2 stitches from both sides and continue knitting in garter stitch, decreasing one stitch in each row until there are 5 stitches left on the needles.


Next, we knit the ties to the length you need. I have 20 rows.


We knit in the same way on the other side. You should end up with something like this.


Now we fold the piece in half and sew the sides.
