Stockinette stitch: right side - knit, wrong side - purl: in circular rows knit only knit stitches.

Norwegian pattern A: knit in stockinette stitch according to chart 1. In even rows knit the stitches as they appear. To avoid holes in the fabric, cross the threads on the wrong side of the work. Always knit the edge stitch with both threads. For the heel, work from rows 1 to 44 once, then repeat rows 41 to 44, but do not make increases.

Norwegian pattern B: knit as Norwegian pattern A, but according to chart 2. Work from rows 1 to 33 once.

Knitting gauge, Norwegian pattern: 23 sts and 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Work description: for the heel, cast on 31 sts with light gray yarn on double-pointed needles and knit 1 wrong side row, 44 rows in Norwegian pattern A.
