Home Boots with Cords (DROPS)

Warm and comfortable knitted boots for women, made from thick wool yarn. The boots are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles, starting with the main part, which has a central section knitted in rows. The upper part is knitted separately. This model of boots is from the new DROPS collection autumn/winter 2015/16.

13 stitches and 17 rows = 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch

Description of knitted boots for women

Note: all rows are shown in the pattern charts.

Cast on 36-38-40 sts, place a marker for the start of the round and knit 1x1 ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl) on the first 13-14-15 sts, 11 sts according to chart A.1, and 12-13-14 sts in ribbing. Continue knitting according to the pattern and after 10 cm (finish knitting when the pattern repeat is completed). Transfer the ribbing stitches to a spare needle and continue knitting only on the 11 pattern stitches, casting on 1 st on each side. When the central part is 7-8.5-10 cm, close 1 st on each side and cast on 12-14-16 sts at the edges, transfer the held stitches and continue knitting in the round = 60-66-72 sts. Place a marker at the center of the front and at the center of the back. Knit ribbing on all stitches and after 4-5-5 cm from the cast-on stitches, continue knitting in stockinette stitch, decreasing by 1 st on each side of the markers every 2nd round until the height is 7-8-9 cm from the cast-on stitches. Close the stitches and sew the bottom seam of the boot that goes along the foot.

For the cuff, cast on 14 sts and knit 2 rows in stockinette stitch, in the next purl row knit: selvedge st., 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, *1 purl, yarn over, 1 purl, yarn over, repeat from * one more time, 1 knit, selvedge st. = 18 sts. Continue knitting according to pattern chart A.2 to a height of 31-33-35 cm, then knit 2 rows in stockinette stitch and close all stitches. Sew the cast-on edge and the edge with closed stitches together.

Knit the second cuff for the boot symmetrically, following the pattern according to chart A.3.

Assembly

Sew the cuff to the boot, leaving a 1 cm gap from the top of the boot, with the seam of the cuff positioned at the center of the back.
