Thanks to Olga Kolesnikova and Nadezhda Tokarenko for the master class.

Cast on 3 stitches and knit them in knit (yellow thread)
Main thread 1st row - slip 1, 1 yarn over (towards yourself), 1 knit (this is the center stitch), 1 yarn over, 1 purl.

2nd row - slip 1, knit the yarn over twisted, slip the central stitch unknit (yarn in front of work), 1 knit twisted, 1 purl.

Yellow thread. 3rd row - slip 1, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit (this is the center), 1 yarn over, 1 knit, 1 purl.

4th row - slip 1, 1 knit, 1 twisted knit, slip the center unknit, 1 twisted knit, 1 knit, 1 purl. Continue knitting while making increases before and after the central stitch until there are 37 stitches on the needles.

I knitted for size 37-38. If the foot is smaller, you can knit up to 35 stitches.
There are 37 stitches on the needles. This completed 1 square.

The first square is the top of the "future" slipper's toe.

Now we will knit the 2nd square - this will be the bottom of the slipper's toe.

If the 1st square is called "open", then the 2nd and all subsequent squares are "closed". So, we have 37 stitches on the needles.

1st row - slip 1, 16 knit, 3 stitches together, 16 knit, 1 purl.

2nd row - slip 1, 16 purl, slip 1 (yarn in front of work) this is the central stitch that formed from knitting 3 stitches together, 16 purl, 1 edge stitch.

Girls, sorry, I made a mistake - the stitches in both knit and purl rows are only knit (except for the edge stitches).

Does this mean that what you write as knit and purl doesn't matter, everything should be knitted knit?

Everything is knitted in knit except for the last stitch in the row which is purl.

This is what the first square will look like.
Continue knitting, making decreases until only one stitch remains on the needles. Close it.

When we knit the 2nd square, we will get such a "triangle" - this is the toe of the slipper.
This is the view of the toe from the side.
On one of the edges of the toe, cast on 37 stitches and knit a square similar to the 2nd square.
Here we have the 3rd square.
Again, cast on 37 stitches on the other side of the toe and knit the 4th square, similar to the 3rd.
On the edges of the 3rd and 4th squares (on the sole side), cast on 37 stitches and knit a square again.
View from the sole side. This is the 5th square we knitted.
On the edge of the 5th square, cast on 37 stitches and knit one more square - this will be the 6th (last).
Cast on stitches on the edges and finish off.

Make some tightening to pull it together a bit; otherwise, they will slip off the foot.
Alternate: knit row, purl row.
You can also finish off with a crochet hook.
