Socks are knitted on two needles. I cast on 49 stitches on size 3 needles. I knitted 30 rows of 1x1 ribbing. I found the middle stitch (25th), marked it with a colored thread.
In every right-side row, I knitted 5 stitches from this stitch (knit, yarn over, knit, yarn over, knit). I knitted the wrong-side rows as the fabric looks. When there were 97 stitches on the needle (this is for size 37), I knitted 6 rows in garter stitch, i.e., all knit stitches, and started to shape the sole with 13 stitches (like a heel). Then I sewed it at the back. That's it!
From the comments: Not finishing 6 stitches on the needles, I start decreasing the middle 3 stitches of the sole in every right-side row until only one remains from the sole, and then I don't sew with a needle, but connect with knitting needles, like in a shawl border.
Don't forget about the decreases on the sides.
