SLIPPERS OF HOPE TOKARENKO

Slippers are knitted on two needles. They are very comfortable to wear and look beautiful on the leg. They are made from yarn leftovers, but it is best to use yarn with a higher wool content, as they will be warm and will mold to the shape of your foot.
Cast on 30 stitches.
Rows 1 – 6: knit stitches.
Rows 7 – 22: stockinette stitch (odd rows – knit, even rows – purl)
Rows 23 – 41: knit the heel, for this knit 19 knit stitches, and knit stitches 20 and 21 together knitwise, turn the work. Knit 9 purl stitches, and knit stitches 10 and 11 together purlwise. Turn the work again, knit 9 knit stitches, knit stitches 10 and 11 together knitwise, and continue knitting, alternating rows 24 and 25 until there are 10 stitches left on the needle.
Row 42: pick up 10 stitches from the side loops of the heel, turn the work.
Row 43: knit 20 knit stitches and pick up another 10 stitches from the other side of the heel = 30 stitches.
Rows 44 – 74: knit in stockinette stitch.
Row 75: begin the decrease: 7 knit, 3 together knit, 10 knit, 3 together knit, 7 knit.
Row 76: purl.
Row 77: 6 knit, 3 together knit, 8 knit, 3 together knit, 6 knit.
Row 78: purl.
Row 79: 5 knit, 3 together knit, 6 knit, 3 together knit, 5 knit.
Row 80: purl.
Row 81: 4 knit, 3 together knit, 4 knit, 3 together knit, 4 knit.
Row 82: purl.
Row 83: 3 knit, 3 together knit, 2 together knit, 3 together knit, 3 knit.
Row 84: 9 purl and knit the 10th from the loop (a total of 18 stitches picked up from the loops on each side).
Row 85: 4 knit, 3 together knit, 3 knit and the 4th from the loop.
Row 86 = Row 84.
Row 87 = Row 85.
Repeat rows 84 and 85 until all stitches from the loops are knitted.
Bind off the remaining 9 stitches.
