Beginning knitting with the "Alsatian scallops" pattern. I cast on 47 stitches. I knitted three times in height.

The pattern repeat is 21 stitches, plus 3, plus two edge stitches (they are not mentioned in the description).
Rows 1 and 3 – knit stitches.
Row 2 – purl stitches
Row 4 – 1 knit, * yarn over, 21 knit*, 2 knit
Row 5 – 2 purl, *(1 purl, 3 knit) – 5 times, 2 purl*, 1 purl
Row 6 – 1 knit, *1 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, (3 purl, 1 knit) – 5 times, yarn over*, 2 knit

Row 11 – 2 purl, * 8 purl, (1 knit, 1 purl) – 5 times, 8 purl*, 1 purl
Row 12 – 1 knit, * 8 knit, (knit the knit and purl stitches together knitwise through the back loop) – 5 times, 8 knit. *, 2 knit
Row 13 – 2 purl, *8 purl, knit 4 purl stitches, place them on a spare needle, wrap the working yarn counter-clockwise 3 times, transfer them to the right needle, 9 purl*, 1 purl
Row 14 – knit stitches
Repeat the pattern from rows 1 to 14
After the scallops, I knitted one more row so that the pattern moved to the front side and made an increase on the central stitch by knitting it first through the back loop and then through the front loop. Then I divided the stitches into three parts: 13*22*13 and knitted the tongue on 22 according to the pattern. I repeated the pattern 4 times. Note that the pattern is for circular knitting, in even rows we knit in reverse: where knits are indicated - we knit purls, and where purls are indicated - we knit knits.

After I knitted the repeat for the 4th time, I made reductions. I reduced incorrectly, I should have knitted 2 stitches together after the edge stitch at the beginning of the row and before the edge stitch at the end of the row, then the toe would have been more rounded, but mine turned out almost square. In the knit rows, knit 2 together at the beginning and end of the row three times. The last time will be the 5th row, don't knit the purl row (6th), cast on stitches along the edge on the left side of the work, then on the purl side knit up to the tongue, knit the tongue and cast on stitches on the right side of the work.
Cast on an additional 10 stitches for the braid, and knit the braid, attaching it to the work - the last stitch of the braid together with the stitch of the main work, 2 together in the knit row. In the purl row, we remove it, etc.

The braid was knitted, I gathered the stitches on a pin, those who prefer can close them, this does not play a significant role later. Along the edge, I cast on stitches again for knitting the sole. I started knitting the sole on the central 8 stitches. The first knit row - 8 stitches, the 2nd row purl 9 stitches, the 3rd row knit 10 stitches and so on, until I cast on 16 stitches. Thus, the beginning of the sole is not square. I then knitted the sole on 16 stitches, knitting the 16th and 17th stitches together in the knit rows and purling them in the purl rows. When there were 3 stitches left on the sides, I reduced the number of sole stitches to 10. I then knitted on these 10 stitches again using the braid, now including the edge stitches, until they were finished. The result was a seamless toe-boot.
