ORIGINAL SLIPPERS

DESCRIPTION Cast on 51 stitches with dark yarn, knit 8 rows of garter stitch. Then divide all stitches into three parts: 17+17+17, and knit only the middle part in stockinette stitch. Temporarily place the side stitches on large safety pins. After knitting 10-12 cm, we will have a rectangle. Do not close the stitches. On the sides of the rectangle, cast on additional stitches (about 23-25) with light-colored yarn. We knit "points" on three sides of the rectangle: knit 4 rows in stockinette stitch, 5th row - slip the edge stitch, *knit 2 stitches together knitwise, yarn over* - until the end of the row. We start knitting the points on top (with the first color), cast on 50 stitches and knit 5 rows of stockinette stitch, 6th row - 1 edge stitch, *yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise*, 1 edge stitch. Then knit another 5 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, we finish the points with a needle. Then 3 rows of garter stitch with the second color. After that, we divide the stitches into three parts and knit only the middle part. We return to the first color and cast on the edge stitches of the middle part to knit the points. The points are knitted from the top: 4 rows of stockinette stitch; 5th row - 1 edge stitch, *yarn over, 2 stitches together knitwise*, 1 edge stitch, then again 4 rows of stockinette stitch. We need to decrease every second row by knitting the first two stitches together; then two together before the central stitch; knit the central stitch, and again two together and the last two together. Knitting pattern for butterflies. For the butterfly pattern, the number of stitches must be divisible by five, plus two additional stitches. For the sample, we cast on 27 stitches. The first row is knit with knit stitches. The second and all even rows are knit with purl stitches. The third row is knitted as follows: slip the first edge stitch, pull the yarn towards you and slip five stitches. The yarn should lie across the slipped stitches along the left needle, then knit five knit stitches and continue knitting this way until the end of the row. Always knit the last edge stitch knitwise. We knit the fifth, seventh, and ninth rows in exactly the same way. In the eleventh row, we knit the butterfly. We knit two knit stitches, then insert the right needle under the yarn lying on the stitches from bottom to top, grab the working yarn, pull it under the yarns, place the resulting stitch onto the left needle and knit it together with the next stitch through the back loops. Then we knit 9 knit stitches. Repeat this until the end of the row. In the 13th row, we knit 5 knit stitches, pull the yarn towards us and slip 5 stitches. Rows 15, 17, and 19 are knitted the same as row 13.
