This pattern is formed by crossed stitches. For the sample knitting, cast on a number of stitches that is a multiple of 5 plus 2 stitches for the symmetry of the pattern, plus 2 edge stitches. Row 1: * 2 purl, 3 knit *, 2 purl; Row 2: 2 knit, * 3 purl, 2 knit *; Row 3: * 2 purl, 3 knit, the 3rd knit stitch of the repeat is crossed to the left over the 4th and 5th knit stitches *, 2 purl; Row 4: 2 knit, * 1 purl, yarn over, 1 purl, 2 knit *.
