The principle of knitting slippers. In fact, even for such a simple thing, it is necessary to calculate the number of stitches. Since the knitting density is different for everyone, the yarn is also different. And it wouldn't hurt to take measurements... Specifically, you need the length of the foot and its thickness... "thickness" is divided by two to get the height, which we will knit to before decreasing stitches and after increasing... And the number of cast-on stitches should correspond to the calculation so that the length matches your foot. We cast on the required number of stitches, I repeat, it will be different for everyone, and knit in a regular garter stitch (all stitches knit) to the desired height. Next, we close half of the stitches, and on the remaining ones, we knit 4-6 rows (depending on the thickness of the yarn used). Then we pick up exactly as many stitches on the needle as were closed earlier. It is convenient to do this with the simplest method, which is also called the chain stitch method. And we knit one more height... That's it! We fold the piece in half and sew along the heel, the top of the item, and gather the toe with a thread using a needle.
