Slippers with knitting needles

Making original slippers by yourself is a great way to learn how to knit. All you need is a ball of yarn, knitting needles, a crochet hook, and a couple of decorative buttons. Surprisingly, the templates for the slippers are just two rectangles knitted entirely in stockinette stitch. An experienced knitter will need only a few hours for this work, and that includes assembly! Features of knitting and assembling slippers The fabric knitted in garter stitch is quite elastic and retains its shape. First, we knit 2 rectangles, the length of which corresponds to the length of the foot without the toes, and the width is approximately 2.5 times the width of the foot. We start the assembly by forming the toe. We fold the rectangle into thirds across the knitting. We measure one third from the edge. This is the boundary up to which the fabric will remain even. We gather 2/3 of the part with thread. We attach the edge to the starting point of the assembly. We proceed to form the heel. Aligning the fabric, we fold it in half and sew it with a slip stitch. We turn the remaining end and determine the fixation point. This can be done directly on the foot. After securing the button, we move on to the finishing. It’s easiest to do this with a crochet hook.
