Then continue as established
3) 4) 5) but do not make decreases and increases anymore even in WS rows, only work:
-
1 lifted knit stitch (slip 1 knitwise), pick up 1 lifted purl strand and make 1 lifted purl (twist it to avoid hole),
-
then return that stitch and purl it together with the next purl st
(in pattern: knit on RS, purl on WS)
Perform this 3 times every 8th row, placing the decreases in a line:

ARMHOLE BANDS
10 cm of 1x1 ribbing (swatch stretches slightly) = approx. 28 rows.
Cast on 13 sts with needles No. 3.5 and knit 1x1 ribbing, beginning and ending with 2 knit sts.
On the left edge, bind off 2 sts every 2nd row (continuing from side edge of back or front).
Total: 13 sts.Work 1 band this way, and knit the second symmetrically.

Bind off all sts loosely with yarn double folded (knit and purl together several times for stretch).
Steam-block the edge from the wrong side through a wet cloth. Do not over-iron!
