Top knitted with needles

The summer item was knitted a long time ago, from a gifted 100% cotton. The model is from some old magazine, where it was a dress, I "shortened" it. Needles 2.5. Unfortunately, neither the magazine, nor the pattern, nor the yarn label has been preserved. The photo shows different shades of the item in different lighting.

The diagram indicates both knit and purl rows.

The pattern repeat is 19 stitches. We knit 10 stitches before the repeat, the stitches of the repeat, and 10 stitches at the end of the sample.

In height, the pattern is repeated from the 1st to the 18th row, then from the 3rd to the 18th row.

Blue squares - NO STITCH (just do not consider them when knitting, they are given for clarity of the diagram).

Legend:

In patterns where you need to make yarn overs in purl rows, knit 2 or 3 stitches together, you must follow the instructions for knitting these stitches.

-knit (in knit rows - knit, in purl rows purl)

Knit two stitches together as knit with a right tilt (insert the needle into the 2nd stitch and the 1st stitch, starting from the second and knit them together.)

In purl rows, a stitch with the same designation should be knitted as 2 purls together with a left tilt

Insert the right needle into the stitches on the left needle in the direction of the arrow, with the working yarn in front, purl the stitch through two stitches in the direction of the arrow

Knit two knit stitches together with a left tilt (slip the first stitch as if to knit, knit the 2nd stitch and pull the slipped stitch over it)

In purl rows, a stitch with the same designation should be knitted as 2 purls together with a right tilt.

To correctly knit these stitches, it is necessary to swap them before knitting:

slip 1 stitch onto a holder, transfer the 2nd from the left to the right, then return the 1st stitch from the holder to the left needle, then return the 2nd from the right to the left.

Insert the right needle in the direction of the arrow into both stitches and knit them together. If you turn it to the front side, these stitches will be similar to two knit stitches knitted together with a left tilt.
