The round yoke sweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom. The yoke features step-by-step increases, and then the sleeves are placed on a length of yarn or stitch holder to be knitted later.
We used two strands held together: double-stranded 100% wool (Fin) along with a single strand of mohair (Stil). This combination creates a very delicate melange effect. Alternatively, this project can also be knitted using cotton yarn (Mjuk), combined with mohair yarn.
You have the option of long and short sleeves, and you can easily adjust the body length to your personal preference.
The description of the sweater “Storm Pass” is provided for 11 sizes (from 80 to 171 cm in bust circumference).
The size chart is presented below and will help you choose your preferred fit.
Difficulty level: medium/high.
Needles:
Circular needles size 3.5 and 4 mm with cable lengths of 40, 60, and 100 cm.
Yarn from «EMMA FASSIO»:
Yarn 1: «FIN» (100% wool) fingering weight yarn, 1500 meters in 100 grams (held double)
Color in the photo: NEVE («firn» compacted snow)
Yarn 2: «STIL» (70% mohair; 30% silk) lace weight yarn, 210 meters in 25 grams (throughout the description, 3 strands are used).
Color in the photo: GHIACCIO (ice) 2 strands held together equal DK weight yarn (approximately 200-240 meters in 100 grams)
Note: instead of double-stranded Fin yarn, you can use a single strand of Mjuk yarn, maintaining the same gauge.
Yarn requirements:
Sizes: XXS, XS, S (M, M1, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X) 5X.
Short sleeve option:
Yarn 1 wool (Fin): 1, 1, 2 (2, 2, 2, 2) (2, 3, 3) 3 skeins.
Yarn 2 mohair (Stil): 3, 3, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7) 8 balls.
Long sleeve option:
Yarn 1 wool (Fin): 1, 2, 2 (2, 2, 2, 2) (2, 3, 3) 4 skeins.
Yarn 2 mohair (Stil): 3, 4, 4 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 8, 8) 8 balls.
Estimated yarn consumption (DK weight yarn) for short sleeve option:
600, 630, 730 (830, 930, 1050, 1150) (1250, 1350 1450) 1550 meters.
For the long sleeve option, you will need approximately 250 meters more yarn.
Note: the specified yarn consumption is approximate and may vary depending on the yarn used, gauge discrepancies, or individual modifications made to the knitting.
Gauge:
21 stitches * 30 rows in a 10*10 cm swatch knitted in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles and 2 strands held together (3 strands: 2 strands of Fin and 1 strand of Stil)
Note: to meet the specified measurements, knit a swatch and ensure you have the same gauge. If necessary, change your needle size to achieve the correct gauge.
Sizes:
A: bust circumference.
B: neck circumference.
C: upper arm circumference.
D: length from underarms to hem:
Standard length: 37 cm.
Shortened length: about 27 cm.
Sleeve length from underarm:
Short Sleeve: 11 cm.
Long Sleeve: about 45 cm.
This sweater is designed to be worn with 8-18 cm of ease around the bust.
Note: the photo shows size M1 with short sleeves
Measurements of the finished garment:
Note: measure the widest part of your upper body and add your desired ease, then select the size with a bust circumference closest to that value.

2 stitches together knitwise
Note:
The bobble is knitted as follows:
Knit 5 times into the same stitch: 1 knit stitch, yarn over, 1 knit stitch, yarn over, 1 knit stitch.
Turn your work and knit 5 knit stitches.
Turn your work and knit as follows: slip 1 stitch as knit, 1 knit stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch, knit 3 stitches together; then place the second needle on the right needle over the first.
This way, you will decrease the stitches you just increased. Pull them tight when closing the bobble.
When blocking the garment, we recommend shaping and «stretching» the bobbles to make them more pronounced.
Note: this method of knitting bobbles makes them look like small roses, which will blend and integrate into the knitted fabric (see photo), but if you prefer more pronounced bobbles, use the traditional bobble knitting technique.
Increase 1 stitch:
• Lift the yarn between two stitches and knit it through the back of the stitch.
