Main pattern: knit not in a continuous piece in consecutive rows, as usual, but with separate bridges that connect to each other during the knitting process. The number of stitches is a multiple of 4. 1st bridge. Right side row: slip the edge stitch, knit 3 stitches, do not knit the remaining stitches of the row. Turn the work. Wrong side row: slip the edge stitch (yarn in front), knit 3 purl stitches. On these 4 stitches, knit in stockinette stitch to the height of the bridge 8 rows (the last row is a wrong side row).
Joining the 2nd bridge. Right side row: slip the edge stitch, knit 3 stitches, cast on 1 stitch, knit 4 stitches from the main piece. Turn the work. 1st and 2nd bridges. There are 9 stitches in work. Knit in stockinette stitch for another 6 rows (the last row is a right side row).
Joining the 3rd bridge. Wrong side row: slip the edge stitch, knit 3 purl stitches. Drop the next stitch from the needle and unravel it to the base. Turn the work. Continue to connect bridges until the last bridge on the left side is included in the work.
Last bridge. On the outer 4 stitches, knit 16 rows in stockinette stitch (the last row is a right side row). Then, the inclination of the bridges should be performed in the opposite direction. For this, everything that was done in the right side row and knitted in the right stitches should be done in the wrong side row and knit in purl stitches.
