A very interesting knitting pattern with needles from the collection by Melissa Leapman "Grape Vine". However, it has one not very pleasant feature – it is assembled. That is, first, the main fabric is knitted from the grid and grape clusters, then the leaves are made separately and sewn onto the main fabric with long chains.
Knit the main fabric according to the pattern. The number of stitches in the pattern is a multiple of 40 plus 4 stitches. Repeat 40 stitches of the rapport and 40 rows.

After the main fabric is knitted, make the appliqué according to the pattern:
1st stage: cast on 5 stitches and knit 4 rows;
2nd stage: continue on the first five stitches according to the pattern and knit 3 rows from the 5th to the 7th; cut the yarn and pull through the last stitch;
3rd stage: join the yarn to the next stitches on the left needle and knit according to the pattern for seven rows from the 5th to the 11th, cut the yarn and pull through the last stitch;
4th stage: join the yarn to the remaining stitches on the left needle and knit according to the pattern for 3 rows from the 5th to the 7th, cut the yarn and pull through the last stitch.
Knit the required number of appliqués and sew them to the main fabric. To connect the leaves and grapes, make long chains of air stitches with a hook (see photo).
