Honeycomb pattern

Cast on a multiple of 8 stitches
1st row (right side): *cross right, cross left, repeat from *
2nd row (wrong side): purl stitches.
3rd row: knit stitches.
4th row: purl stitches.
5th row: *cross left, cross right, repeat from *
7th row: knit stitches.
8th row: purl stitches.
Repeat rows 1-8 for the pattern.
Finish with the 2nd or 6th row

Cross right: slip 2 stitches onto a cable needle, place it behind the work, knit 2 stitches from the left needle, then knit 2 stitches from the cable needle.
Cross left: slip 2 stitches onto a cable needle, place it in front of the work, knit 2 stitches from the left needle, then knit 2 stitches from the cable needle.
