Pattern "Eight"

Such a beautiful pattern can be used to knit a cardigan
To knit the lace pattern with needles, cast on any odd number of stitches.

Pattern description:

The number of stitches is a multiple of 4 plus 2 edge stitches.

Row 1 (RS):  edge stitch, * 1 purl, 3 knit, then count back 3 stitches  and pull the third stitch towards you and pass it over the next 2 stitches, 1 purl, * edge stitch.

Row 2 (WS): edge stitch,  *knit, purl, yarn over, purl*, edge stitch.

Row 3 ( RS ): edge stitch, *knit through the back loop, yarn over knit through the front loop, knit, purl,* edge stitch.

Row 4 ( WS ): edge stitch, * knit, 3 purl, knit,* edge stitch.

Repeat rows 1 -- 4.
