knit (in knit rows - knit, in purl rows purl)

Knit two knits together with a right-leaning stitch (Insert the needle into the 2nd stitch and the 1st stitch, starting from the second and knit them together.)

Knit two knits together with a left-leaning stitch (Slip the first stitch as if to knit, knit the 2nd stitch and pull the slipped stitch through it)
