Row 1:
* knit 2 stitches together through the front with a left-leaning decrease, slipping only the first stitch off the needle *; repeat from * to the last stitch, knit this stitch through the front.

Row 2:
* knit 2 together through the back, slipping only the first stitch off the needle *; repeat from * to the last stitch, which is knit through the back.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until the desired size.
